The Graco Classic Wood High Chair is Classy Looking.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

The Graco Classic Wood High chair is very classy looking. I don't mind having this product visible in my kitchen. I have had some trouble with the cover not staying on. My son likes to wiggle in the chair, and it causes the cover to slip off. A few times he has hit his head on the wood. The tray is very easy to clean, and it quite conveniently comes off, although mine has small cracks. I can't be used for very young babies, as it does not recline.  It can be hard to clean if food gets in the corners on the legs. The fact that it can't be folded is a drawback when it comes to storage. Even though it is durable, I have found that this product does scratch and dent rather easily. I have also had some of the screws loosen and, although the screws can be tightened easily, it becomes an extra hassel. Overall, I do like this chair for its looks, but I would probably buy a different chair next time due to more cons than pros. It is an expensive product, and I did not find it worth the cost.

I like the Graco Highchair

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I orginally decided to purchase the Graco Classic Wood High Chair because I did not like the "character" look of the other high chairs. I like the sleek wood lines that go along with my dining room room furniture. I actually have it sitting next to my bar stools at my counter, where we eat dinner. I have owned this product for a year, and so far so good! It seems to be very durable. It has held up well. I like the plastic covering removable tray. It makes clean up go very well. The pad washes very nicely in the washing machine. Mine still looks brand new after many episodes of raviolis and other red pastas! I wish the back of it buckled in. Sometimes when I am putting my daughter in the high chair the cushion comes down with her and I have to pull it back up. I wish it attached in the back, instead of just on the sides. Overall, I would recommend this product just based on the looks and functionability.

Pretty, functional and great for your child!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We registered for this all wood Graco high chair for our first child.  When we registered, we didn't think a thing about the fact that the chair is wood, which while making it pretty, also makes it susceptible to warping with moisture, i.e. spilled milk, juice, soup, etc.  In addition, we didn't think a thing about the fact that the pads on the chair are cream colored material, not vinyl.  After our daughter was born and almost six months old, I started to panic - what had we been thinking to get a wooden high chair with cream colored fabric pads?

I had been pleasantly surprised in the past year (our daughter is now 20 months) that this high chair has and can take a beating a...

We've loved it!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We have used this chair for two years now, starting when my son was six months. He has always been comfortable (and still is) - we will probably use it till he is three and we'll move him to a booster. We eat at an island, so this chair is the perfect height. We put all sorts of things on the tray, protected by the cover - he's learned a lot of words that way, and before that it was pictures of people we know, characters, etc...easy distraction/conversation topics. I love that you can throw the seat in the washer - just wish you could clean the straps, too. And I really love that I don't have a plastic thing in my kitchen. Should add that after a couple years of not so gentle use, the tray cover (plastic) does have a crack - it's still usable, but I ordered a replacement from Graco for just 12$ anyway....

Beautiful addition to our dining room

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Graco Classic Wood High Chair is a perfect addition to our semi-formal dining room, and it's completely functional as well.  I purchased the cherry wood finish, and while it does show scratches and dings, the color was the only one that blended with our table and decor.

Yes, it is fairly pricey (the best deal I could find was still over $100), but many of the plastic models are still quite expensive.  I saw another reviewer complained about it being bulky:  I really don't agree!  I think the plastic ones are often monstrosities, and this one feels rather streamlined to me.  I don't mind that it doesn't fold up -- don't need to store something that you use every ...

Graco Classic High Chair: good value, some improvement needed

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I registered for this chair when my son was born and he used it for about a year before we moved him to a booster chair.  It was a good looking chair and in a neutral color and I liked that it came in different stain options.  The tray was very solid and survived many falls to the floor at the hands of my son.  What I didn't like about this chair is that it was very difficult to clean as the straps do not come off of the chair.  During one particularly rough diaper blow out, I had to clean the buckles and straps with a q tip because I could not take them off to soak them.  I found that the bolts had to be tightened frequently, too, as it would begin to twist with my son's moving around after a few weeks.  It's not a bad value and it is an attractive option if you don't want to go with plastic, but it would be a lot better if it were easier to clean or if the straps detached as well as the seat.

Practical and Beautiful

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

When we were picking out high chairs, I wanted one that folded up so we were able to stow it away.  My husband said "who are you kidding, do you think we are really going to do that?"  He was right.  I'm the type of person who leaves kitchen appliances out on the counter for days so was I really going to put a high chair away after every use?  No.  He saw this Graco wooden chair and fell in love with it.  It matched our furniture perfectly!  It was pretty, sturdy and designed really well.  My favorite was the plastic tray that went over the wooden tray.  It comes off really easily for a quick cleaning.  The chair cover comes off so you c...

Just OK

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

The reason I registered for this high chair was purely for the wood look. After a few months the legs and bottom portion of the high chair started to show wear exposing the faux wood. This was very shocking since it was a little more expensive than the metal and plastic models. Also, this chair does not recline or fold up for storage.

On a positive note the off-white cover washes great and so far has been stain resistant!

The main problem I have had with this chair is only cosmetic, however the "Look" is what sold me!

durable

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love, love the Graco Classic Wood High Chair.  I have this chair in cherry. So beautiful and it matches with my cabinets and dining set.  I know it's not your traditional colorful baby high chair, but that's what I love most about it.  I've gotten so many compliments from friends and a couple of my girlfriends even registered for the same ones.  My son has been using his high chair since he can sit up by himself.  He is now 2 1/2 years old and he still fits and uses this high chair.  It's been beaten and USED, but it's still beautiful - given there are many visible scratches, but not something I cannot remedy with right color of wood stain.  It is very sturdy - never had any problem or incident of my son hurting himself while in this chair.  I'm glad that I received this as a gift since I know that this is rather pricey chair, but it's worth the money.  No gadgets or features, just a beautiful furniture-type based design.

Classy, functional and sturdy - great high chair!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Simply put, I love this high chair.  Love it.  When my husband and I registered, it was one of the few high chairs that wasn't cartoony looking and made of plastic.  It doesn't scream, "I have a baby!" and the classic style fits in beautifully with both our kitchen and dining room.  I don't feel I have to hide it (or make excuses for it).

The chair is very well made and easy to put together.  My husband had it assembled in just a few minutes with very little effort.  The wide base on the chair has both good and bad points.  It's good in that I'm never worried it's going to wobble or tip over.  I have, however, stubbed my toes on it several times until...

Great functionality but not great quality

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Our daughter used this high chair and it was very functional. It had the padded to use when the baby is smaller and you could take it out when the baby got bigger. It comes in with the tray which is great to use when they are eating or just to play with toys. The plastic thing that goes on top of the tray is kind of hard to clean. It never shines again like the first time. Also the high chair was higher than our table, so it made it difficult for the baby to try to eat on the table with us without the tray.

We also used it without the plastic tray cover and this was a mistake, we noticed that when we cleaned it, it damaged the wood. We only used clorox or lysol wipes, then pledge because it...

Graco Classic Wood High Chair - beautiful & easy to use

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We have been using the Graco Classic Wood High Chair every day for over two years now. I wanted a wooden high chair because I think they are prettier than the oversized, garish plastic ones, but I didn't want a "vintage" one because they usually seem rickety and don't have straps to buckle the child in. When I found the Graco chair, I was thrilled. The beautiful design and stain blend with my decor. The padded seat cushion is a tasteful neutral, and is easy to take off and run through the washing machine. Even the straps can be removed for washing. The tray slides very easily and latches in two different positions; or can be removed entirely to use the "snack tray" underneath. Later it can b...

overall great - could use a different color

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We received this item for our daughter at my baby shower. We love the look of the high chair as it matches our home so much better then the huge plastic highchairs you normally see. Overall we have been pleased with this item although like all things it has its cons. Over time the bolts seem to have gotten lose and need tighten much more often now. Not a huge problem but definately something to watch. Due to the light color of the fabric the highchair gets dirty very easily although it is very easy to wash. I like the different seating options this chair has to offer although really my daughter only ever used one. Once she was big enough to sit at the table, she just sat in one of the table chairs. I still like that it has this option and we may find it more useful with our son as our daughter was very independent from an early age. I would definately reccomend this product even with the cons listed above as I feel it is still of great quality and it goes so well with our home.

graco classic highchair affordable highchair

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Becoming a mom or even a parent for that matter comes with a lot of decisions. Some you make quickly on the fly while others you defiently ponder over for a while. Most people hope for the best for their children. Well why not give them the best by choosing a Graco high chair. Just like any product their are pros and cons that formulate around this high chair, I will discuss those in a minute. Graco products are always manufactured with subltle designs and high quality construction. Along with the nice wooden chair frame it has a removable tray cover that when you slip it back on does not cover the wood. this is a really nice high chair, with that all around homey look.

The cons on the othe...

camping with my bros.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I was outside camping with my bros when I turned out the lights and noticed a bar stool in my tent.  I turned the light back on and asked Bubba where it came from .  Bubba told me that Sandsquid had brought it into the tent because he liked the color and texture.  Beefy Boy came over with a sledgehammer and pounded on the tent with it.  I unzipped the tent and winked at him.  He turned and left with the hammer in his pocket.  I turned to Bubba and he didn't know what was going on.  I told him it was my birthday and the bar stool must have been a surprise gift for me.  Bubba just nodded and fell back asleep.  I couldn't go back to sleep though because the bar stool was in my way.  So I rolled over and the stool fell on Bubba.  Bubba screamed and ran out of the tent.  I had more room then.  I rested my head on the bar stool as Bubba shared the tent with Beefy Boy.  THe next moring I had to pee.
