This is the best invention ever! Especially when you have a 2-door car and a newborn baby, like I did. All you have to do is install it once. My son was born in middle of January and I liked being able to buckle him in the carseat inside my home where it was warm instead of waiting to buckle him in the car. With a 2-door car, it's hard enough to put a child in the back seat; however, this base is a lifesaver. We also kept one base in my car and had another base to put in my husband's car. I kept my son in the infant carrier until I had to move him into a bigger carseat due to him filling the width of the carrier and his head and feet coming close to sticking out of the top and bottom. Believe me, I did not like the day when I had to buy a differant carseat as he was still under a year old and had to be rear facing. I did not want to go anywhere after that until he turned 1 and could be front facing because you had to move the seat forward, squish yourself & a chubby baby into the back seat & then buckle baby in. HARD JOB JUST TO GO GROCERY SHOPPING!

I just love Graco products! I first began using the Graco car seat base with my first child. We actually began using the car seat without it in beginning, but then realized how much of a hassle it was to make sure it was buckled in correctly and safe/secure of our little one. We purchased the base shortly after. What a huge difference it made in taking the baby with us in the car. So much more convenient to have a base with an infant carrier. And plus, we don't have to worry about if we secured the seat. Once we hear the clicks, we know that our child is secure! After such a positive outcome with the base with our 1st child, we bought one right away with our 2nd child. I would recommend a base with any carseat!

I love this base ... it's the greatest thing EVER invented. We never had these with my first child (2008) and boy does it make life so much easier! You only have to install the base once in each car and then snap the seat in and out! Wow, what a time and sanity saver these are! We had the Sheriff Department install the seat and the additional base in our cars and he explained all the features and functions. If you have a chance call your local police agency and speak with the Child Safety Seat Officer, they have a lot of valuable information to keep your baby safe and will inspect and install your seat for free!! This is a great product if you foresee using more than one vehicle for transporting your child or if you have a nanny that would be driving!! They are great products and I would totally recommend this to anyone and everyone!! Every mom that I know has one and wouldn't have it any other way!

I am a mother of a two year old and a four month old. My husband and I each have a car and we switch off which one we drive so we need to be able to put the kids into each car quickly. So we have put a car seat base into both cars along with a bigger carseat in both cars for our oldest son. That allows us to put both of the kids in and out of the car quickly. Also I believe it is safer to already have the car seat base installed tightly instead of always having to buckle the car seat up everytime you get into the car. you are more likely to make a mistack that way. When you snap the carseat into the base it keeps the seat secure and safe as long as the base is put in tightly. This is the hardest part but once you have the base in you don't need to worry about it again. One thing you need to watch out for is that the car seat locks in place. I have a few times heard it finally snap into place as I was driving. ALWAYS, always, always double check that it is in correctly!

I have three of these total. One that came with my travel system and two extras that I bought for my husband's car and my mom's car to make it easy when the baby goes with them. It's so much easier to have this already installed, then you can just pop in the car seat and you know it's properly installed every time. It will save you time every time you put the baby in or out of the car.

My son just out grew his infant seat and I am glad. The seat itself works great and makes me feel secure. The base is another story. On my newer mini van, the car seat base tilts to the side no matter how you adjust the seat belt. I can't tell you how many times I looked behind me to see my son on an angle. It made me very nervous to take him anywhere. I ended up adding a bungee cord to the base and wrapped it around the seat to make it more secure.

I bought this product over a year ago while pregnant with my first daughter. I bought it for the convience of not moving the base that was in my car to my husbands vehicle on the times he had her. *I *also bought one for my mother, who has my daughter one weekend a month. This product made it very easy to move the car seat from vehicle to vehicle without the need to "reinstall" the car seat. I loved that it was easy to install, and easy to use. My mom even figured it now! Now that we have moved on to a "big girl" carseat" and she is no longer int he infant car seat, I miss the ease of being able to move her from place to place with the easy of this product. I thought it was built tough, I thought that this item was easy to use. I am glad that it worked so well with my carseat, and had the colors to choose from so it matched each other carseats that can be used. I will defiantly be reuses this item with my second daughter.

We love having the extra base to our Graco snug ride car seat. It adds a lot of flexibility to our family as it lets us use the car seat in either car or even in Grandma's car if we need too. The latch system makes the car seat base super easy to install.
