We purchased this crib for our first child, and loved that it was a convertible model. Although, it does not include the rail to use when it is set up as a toddler bed, we felt it was a great deal! We were not let down. Our son is 3 now and it is currently being used as a toddler bed. It's sturdy and gives him just enough room to sleep and roll around without being too big! I cannot wait to see what it looks like converted to a full size bed! The finish on the wood held up to a teething baby/toddler. Minimal chew marks are visible, but they appear as dents and not damage. As far as assembly goes, my husband had this crib assembled in about an hour. The directions were marked well, and everything was labeled well. I assisted when it seemed helpful, but a single person could easily assemble this crib. We chose an expresso colored crib, and it coordinates well with the other furniture in the nursery.
