As a stay-at-home mom of four I have to be budget wise. When I needed to replace my baby swing between child two and child three I bought a Graco 2 speed swing second hand for twenty dollars. It was money well spent. The swing is well designed with no bar overhead to bump baby's head on. The seat reclines back and there are three positions to choose from. When baby is younger the seat can recline fully back, and then as baby learns to sit up you can adjust the seat into a sitting position. The seat cover is a nice neutral color and comes off for easy washing, which as any parent knows is a must have. There are two speeds to use, high and low, and it takes batteries so there is no winding. Also, there are two toys on the seat tray to help entertain baby. The toys do come off for better cleaning, but it's not the easiest thing to do. The only issue I have with the swing is my babies reached out, grabbed the bars, and stopped the swing. I thought it may be an unusal thing when my third did it, but then the fourth followed suit. Probably would have had that issue with any swing.
