Gorton's has made frozen fish treats since 1849, and the products are pretty good. I guess they'd have to be to stay in business that long.
I bought Tenders this week. They are billed as "whole battered fish fillets." I must say they are catching really small fish. The fillets are only a couple of inches long.
The best thing about Tenders is the batter. The batter really is tasty. It is, however, pretty greasy. Fish isn't. Add this batter, and the healthy fish kind of slips into the junk food category. You can see my fingers in the photo above and see what I mean.

read full review »Gorton's had the best line of frozen fish. The tenders, especially the beer batter and the popcorn shrimp are always crowd pleasers. I have started serving them at gametime for Sunday football and everyone loves them. It's nice that the kids will start eating fish. The fish is delicate and flaky and the batter is crispy and so tasty. Try eating the shrimp with coctail sauce or wasabi mayo by hellman's. Enjoy!
