Google, I love you. — Google, you know I'm not perfect, but you don't seem to notice my faults. In fact, you just keep offering me more and more goodies. Despite the lop-sided nature of our relationship (I give you "one unique visitor," you give me Earth) you appear content. Google is great. You can search for anything and everything. It's fast and easy and great for research for school. You can look up anything you want or need. Search for online shopping sites, lookup information on any school topic, search for recipes, photos, etc. It's the best search engine I've seen. The only fault I see with Google is all of the advertising. You have to ask yourself if the sponsored ads can really be trusted. For example, let's say you're looking for a free anti-virus program. Everyday, we run into problems that we need a guide or a solution too. You can go ask your neighbor, friends, and just about anybody on there opinion on how to solve the problem but their is probably not one source on the net that you can get instant access too without all the hassle. I have to say Kudos to Google search and their satellite products such as GMail, iGoogle, Googlepages, Google documents, etc. As a student, there is not an on-line tool that I use more. GMail gives me 5 Gigs of memory and I never have to erase an email. Of course that results in a lot of emails for a quick keyword search and I have what I need. iGoogle allows me to have the links to the websites I use on a daily basis, moniter Gmail, and keep my calandar up to date. I have used MSN, Yahoo, and Google and have found out that I get the most hits/results of my inquiry in Google. There are results I found in google that didn't derive any for me in other search engines. In fact, I now incorporate the term "google" whenever a novice or fairly semi-novice internet user would ask me seeking for further information. It has become an integrated vocabulary in me when internet is a subject matter. MSN is still far behind lagging and so is Yahoo although I think the latter is better than the first. Google provides solid products (or sometimes just "as to be expected" products when they are in beta) to the Internet community, usually at no cost.  Who foots the bill?  Large corporations, medium businesses, and small businesses all competing for your attention.  Yet sometimes Google will provide a product that offers much good, yet has no dicernable way of making them any money.  They do it anyway, and that is what makes them great.  They are obsessed with information, in any capacity, and as long as they stick with the noble mission of making information… read full review »

I use Google all the time. I find they are the BEST when searching for anything. It always brings up things I don't find on other search engines. Plus they have all sorts of other features I like. There is a cool Google Earth section where you can actually use satilites to SEE places..I did my house and could see it clearly. It's really amazing. I also use gmail. I like how when you seach it brings up a "cached" verison and also how they will automatically translated a website into English if it is in another language for you.. When a search has to be done, Google is always my first choice.  Even if I'm not sure sometimes how to word the search, it seems Google understands and knows what I am trying to convey.  It cuts to the chase and gives you the most revlevant links first.  I have never been disappointed.  The few times that I didn't get results, there were none to get.  I would try other search engines and they wouldn't give anything either.  So I am even more confident that when I need to do a search, Goggle It! —… read full review »
