The alarm on my biological clock has gone off. No use just lying here in bed, I'm up.
Okay, I need coffee and I need news. So I put on a pot and I go straight to Google News. Ah, now that's better.
Google News has been my homepage since they were in Beta testing, at least a couple of years ago.
I'll tell you what I love about it. If it's news, it's there! Not only is it there, but you'll be able to read all sides of an issue. Google gets its news feeds continuously throughout the day from over 4,500 sources. That's diversity of thought.

read full review »It just doesn't pay to get a daily newspaper delivered to the doorstop anymore...on a rainy day, it's a soggy mess. The day I get up early, the delivery person is late. And on Sunday, the neighbor "borrows" my NY Times from my front step!!!
No more, I've cancelled my subscription -- Google News covers it all. The headlines are right up top and clicking on "all nnn news articles..." read full review »I have had Google News as my home page for a while, and I love it! It shows news stories from thousands of different sources, from all around the world. As soon as I load up my browser, I can see the top headlines of the day, as well as the 10 most popular topics, and sections arranged by subject further down the page.
Google News is very customizable - you can get local news by entering your ZIP code, control the number of stories shown in each category, or even remove categories you aren't interested in.
One of the best features is the ability to search for any topic you're interested in....
