It just doesn't pay to get a daily newspaper delivered to the doorstop anymore...on a rainy day, it's a soggy mess. The day I get up early, the delivery person is late. And on Sunday, the neighbor "borrows" my NY Times from my front step!!!
No more, I've cancelled my subscription -- Google News covers it all. The headlines are right up top and clicking on "all nnn news articles..." (where nnn = the number of news publications carrying that story) gives you access to the news story as reported by newswriters from around the world. The finest news organizations in the world are included, with up to the minute postings.
Customizable! You can sign up for Google Alerts. I play in a jazz group (swojo.org) and wanted to find out when any of our concerts or reviews were covered by any newspapers so I signed up for a Google Alert. The next time anything about us was published, Google sent me an email with a link to the story. Fantastic!
Searchable! It's Google, so searches are pretty much just expected...type in the subject you're interested in and click "search news" or "search the web" and off you go.
