The Viva 2 tire is the worst tire i have ever bought.Walmart tried many times to balance my viva 2s .The steering wheel always had a slight shimmy and pulled to the right.

After a trip to the toyota dealer for a four wheel allinment, the dealer said the tires were

defective. All walmart would do is prorate the tires. The Viva 2 is sold only at walmart and covered only by their  warranty. This is the last set of tires i buy at Walmart. This is just another example ot the old adage, you get what you pay for.

22,000 miles would make the case of proving them defective hard. With them having even wear that is another issue that would not prove them defective either. If they wore even and had 22,000 miles I can't see where they were not balanced right either. An unbalanced tire will not wear evenly, it will cup the tread. So Walmart was within their right to prorate the tires and that was generous of them. I have been working on cars for over 35 years so I know what unbalanced tires or a bad alignment does. It sounds like your car had a good alignment and the tires were balanced. How Toyota could say they were defective is beyond me.

I did take the prorated deal but It still cost me 234.00 for new tires Plus the alignment.
for tires that only had 22,000 miles. The Goodyears tread looked good, no uneven wear to indcate
an alignment issue.I only went back to Walmart after being told by the Toyota dealer
the tires were defective and he could not stop the pull.I went from the dealer to Walmart to resolve the issue with paper work in hand.I do not think i even needed the alignment. The new tires did the trick.

Well to play the devils advocate here I have to go with them on this. An unbalanced tire will not cause a vehicle to pull to the right or left, that is an alignment issue, so since your vehicle was not aligned properly they attribute the tire problem to your vehicle and not the tire. Even though they failed to balance them the alignment issue is mechanical and even a judge would probably side with them. I feel for you because of what you went through however. I would have taken the prorate deal and then tried to get it resolved through the B.B.B. in your area or Goodyear.
