When my oldest son was little, he would insist that I read him the book every night before bed.  The way it's written is just so soothing, so relaxing, it comforted him.  It was a book I didn't mind reading him every night.  I cherished those moments with him, and he remembers them now fondly and he is eleven. 

The story is about a little bunny, on his way to bed.  Saying good night to everything around him.  The story rhymes, but it's not a tongue twister.  It's just a very gentle story that lulls the kids to sleep.

The book Good night moon could be the best invention in the history of books!  My kids loved it when they were little and that was twenty five and twenty seven years ago!  This book is a timeless classic that will probably be popular twenty years from now!  My granson has read this book every day for the past several months.  He loves to point out all of the different things on each page and to try and find the mouse on each page.  His favorite though is the "hot hot" or the fireplace.  He points it out on each page.  He also had the nook so memorized that he he starts to wave goodnight...

I've given this book to numerous children over the years and the responses from the parents and grandparents have been consistently positive - many indicating that it has become their childrens favorite book. This board book is easy to handle, sturdy enough for little children to hold and the nightlight is just a little added feature. The set makes a perfect gift - even for the newborn. Hopefully parents will start reading to their children as soon as they arrive home - it can become a nightly ritual and a lifelong passion. I remember Good Night Moon from when I was a child. This was one of my daughter's first books she received. We read it all the time (not just at night) and at 23 months she can "read" it herself. She knows what comes next. Text is simple and pictures are wonderful for infants and toddler's to look at. This book can be passed down for generations. Nice sturdy board book that will hold up to any toddler's hands.

I taught Preschool for years before I became a mom myself and I know firsthand how much children love this book!  My son would have me read it over and over before bed.

I think kids like the sing-song rhythem of the story, and for the parents-it's a pretty short story for bedtime! lol

Good Night Moon is one of the best children's books ever written--it should probably be considered a classic.  The story is simple enough for a small child to understand and the pictures are wonderful.  The concept of "good night" can help get a child ready for bed quickly so he or she too can say goodnight.

Goodnight Moon is one of best childrens book that I have read.  My kids, and the children that I teach love this book.  They like to read it over and over.  It's also good for beginning reader's.  All ages love this book, so it makes a wonderful gift.  Enjoy!

this book calms my 2 yr old twins down immediately. they love finding the mouse on every page, they point things out and  just overall LOVE this book. we have tons of books but this is by far the favorite!

you will however have to read this over and over and over again!!
