http://www.goodsearch.com/ is a search engine with a twist. Every time you do a search a penny is added to the charity (or school) of your choice. I learned about this because one of the people in my Sjogren’s Syndrome list serve sent out an e-mail.
A Closer View
Going to the site, which is simple to use, I saw that 34,000 non-profits are on-board and 100 are joining daily. Save Darfur has earned $1,950 and the ASPCA has earned $2,800. I typed in Sjogren’s Syndrome and learned that $92.40 has been raised. That’s not a lot but it’s a start.
I put the site on my toolbar and am using it for all my searches. The site gives you ways to spread the word. You can add a button to your blog or website, e-mail friends, put a footer in your e-mail and make GoodSearch your home page. Tell the media; make a flyer; or become a representative of GoodSearch.
