Chuck didn't just have good luck, as viewers are split on how they feel about this R-rated romantic comedy. Good Luck Chuck stars Dane Cook (Dan In Real Life, Mr. Brooks) as commitment-aphobic Chuck whose affliction is that every time he sleeps with a woman, she next meets the man of her dreams. Some felt this was just "a raunchy comedy that was all too predictable," that borrowed "shamefully from other romantic comedies." Other reviewers found Good Luck Chuck "funny, intriguing, and full of laughs." Women as well as men enjoyed this movie, as they related to Cook's costar Jessica Alba. The one thing reviewers do agree on is the raunchiness factor, stating that it's like "watching Skinemax on my DVD player."

Our family has been a Dane Cook fan for years, so to see him in a movie is so exciting.  Especially to see him in a starring role opposite Jessica Alba!

Despite the well budgeted cast, Good Luck Chuck was one of the worst romantic comedies to ever grace my DVD player. With Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, I thought that there "talent" could bring this movie to a good scene at some point. Instead, it ended up being a filmed nasty fantasy realization of promiscuity and raging hormones.

Dane wasn't funny at all and Jessica was pretty much only a pretty face. She even bashed the movie in an interview with Elle magazine calling it "porn."

The romantic comedy genre has a successful formula that most filmmakers prefer to stick to: Boy meets Girl, Boy loses Girl, Boy gets Girl again. One can't argue with sticking to a proven formula, but Good Luck Chuck borrows so shamefully from other romantic comedies that it's unoriginal tendencies work against everything it has going for it.

Alright, let me preface by saying I love Dane Cook, so I may have liked this movie a little bit more than normal people. There were some really funny parts, but I think the whole premise was a little lame. Movie obviously had to be written by a man who was scorned or something! Jessica Alba was cute, but nobody is that dumb r klutzy. Chuck had a lot of sex, so hopefully he got tested for stds before he and Alba got together. I thought the movie was pretty good- it wasn't as god awful as the critics claimed. I wouldn't buy it, but I would watch it again if I was flipping around.

The trailor for the movie is misleading.

 I recently saw the movie Good Luck Chuck. The trailor for this was very misleading. It was  pertrade as a romantic comdey, however what I did not realize is that it would have alot of nudity. More so than your average "R" movie. Was it funny? YES, but they took the nudity a little to far, so if you plan on letting your teenagers watch this thinking it's just another comedy be prepared for the sex lesson they will also recieve.

         My husband brought the DVD home for Valentine's Day.  The movie stars Jessica Alba and Dane Cook.  Cook is thought to be a good luck charm because each women he is with finds her true love and marries them.  Alba is a little off balance and stumbles easy.  She and Cook have an amazing story to tell with a lot of humor and great one liners!  Any couple must see this movie.

Was totally disgusted by some parts of this movie

I thought this movie might be romantic and funny for my husband and I to watch.  Boy was I wrong!  Some scenes in this movie were just downright disgusting!  If this had been a woman acting in this way, she would be called a whore!  I was totally appalled.  Jessica Alba was great in this movie, but I can't believe a girl like that could end up falling for such a tool!

This movie is hysterical.  We all know a guy just like Good Luck Chuck!  He's the guy who never wanted a commitment until he figured out that commitment is the only thing that's missing in his life.  Then, the movie gets really funny!  Ever wonder why you never can get what you want when you need it?  Chuck spends plenty of time wondering himself...

I liked this movie but it had a lot of interesting sex scenes and lude remarks that you may find offensive depending on your sensitivity. It was funny and the actors were o.k. but I think I enjoyed the offensive parts more. I mean this movie had to shock you just to keep you interested. I saw it on DVD and I'm glad I did instead of paying more to see it at a theater.

I saw this movie with my girlfriend thinking it would be a cute funny movie to take her to and score some good points for being a sensitive boyfriend.  While there were a few sweet and funny parts, overall the movie was extremely raunchy and utterly predictable.  I was embarrassed to have taken my girlfriend to see it.  I don't recommend it!

Although this movie is not one you should watch with kids due to the intense graphic nudity, it was a great film to watch with friends (of the same sex) that don't mind laughing utnil you cry. Dane Cook played a diverse role of the hunk who had a sweet and almost innocent role. If you love penguins I highly reccommend this movie, you even learn a thing or two.

this is a great movie to watch with your significant other. I laughed the whole time. I believe alot of woman can relate to Jessica Alba in this movie. Deffinetly not for children though. I love the penguins so that was a good thing too. This movie is fairly educational as far as relationship and penguins go! This is a must see!

This movie started out kind of rauchy and then the funny parts started. I really enjoyed the friend who made the main character seem less raunchy. Dane Cook is one of my favorite comedians. This movie was a good play for him, because he could use comedy in a different way. This was his element. Jessica Alba was cute too.

Good Luck Chuck was one of the better comedy movies I have seen in a while.  This romantic comedy is recommended for adults only though.  There are several nudity scenes.  The acting was great and the story was well done.  Enjoy the movie for yourself.
