Judge not lest ye be judged. The movie looks into the quality of home care in a small Mass town,tho it can be applied to almost any town in the global community. Does the state have the right to remove kids from their home setting and place them into better settings,that is the central message of the movie. Here,two children are abducted from their homes. One is a pre-school aged girl,the other a school aged boy.The movie has police and other investigators interviewing parents,relatives and community people while sordid plans to kidnap the children are put into play. It is a stirring movie that ends in a twist showing how gov't officials are not always the best examples in the community. It also shows,as did "Mystic River" that the cycle of povery never ends and in the long run a kid's home is the better place no matter what.
