Gone Baby Gone is a rarity - a film with a great plot and a moral dilemma to chew on for those who crave something deeper than the usual Hollywood fare. The acting is spectacular. No one overwhelms. The plot has gentle twists to keep those looking for an easy to watch but interesting flick.
Those who prefer a bit more thought provocation will be guided through a moral wrestling match that does not have a pat end. It will keep you thinking long after the credits roll.
The cinematography and direction make for truly memorable scences - the kind you will be recalling years from now. If all of this isn't enough, the decidedly dark plot is occassonially interrupted with some very down to earth humor. There are no super heroes or super villians here, just ordinary people doing there best to deal with the darkest parts of the human race.
