I have seen many pros and con reviews of the Gold's Gym Trainer 550, but so far I am personally still in the pros instead of the cons.
The Gold's Gym 550 trainer offers me a selection of weight control programs (4). Put in your age, weight, calories you want to burn and it will give you a great work out that is just right for you. Yes, there are moment I say a few choice words to the trainer, but it is one heck of a work out and nice to see the numbers going down on the scale.
If you don't want a pre programmed work out that is fine too. You have the choice of the speed and incline you want to do. The incline will go up to 10%. Yeah, doesn't sound like much, but I dare you to give it a try...makes your tushy and thighs say talk to you.
The display is a crisp, easy to read digital. It has a selection of work outs and my hubby even was jogging on it (who is this man). If you have an IPod, plug it in and work out to your favorite tunes or just find a nice show and walk away all your worries.
Feeling overly hot? Well just flip on the on board fan and cool off. When I get done I cool off and just fold it up and roll it back into the corner.
There is some assembly required, but it was pretty easy to get it together. I don't think it makes that much noise, but it is a machine and will make some noise when you are increasing the incline or lowering it.
I found this at Walmart on sale for $448. Reg $548
I am very please and can't wait to see the new me with the help of my Gold's Gym 550 Trainer. and the only thing I would change on it would be the peg that holds it when folded...it holds fine (really), but I would like to see it longer so I wouldn't think of it falling down and landing on my cats. (that's just me and I like safe).
