Because the weights are attached with a spring clip, and the grips of the handles are so thin, and the weights are so wide, the weights rotate as the dumbbells are used and rub against the skin of the forearms. Although they were expensive to me, I threw them away to protect others who might buy them if I returned them. In addition to hurting my forearms, the flimsy spring clips gave me no confidence the weights wouldn't fall on my head, and the weights are so big for dumbbells -- they might have kinked me on the head. Also, the grip barely fit my hands. How such dumbbells went into production is a mystery.
