Golden Retriever Dog Breed —
I would always recommend a Golden Retriever. We've only owned one, but he is just the very best. Kodiak (Kody). He is a love - loves to be in the center of attention. I never worry about him when strangers come to the door (not a very good watchdog). And I have to watch him when kids are around, in case he follows them home! ha
The only con is that he sheds - always and allot. I don't plan on letting that stop me from getting another one, however. Oh, and a warning - they love, absolutely love balls. As many as they can get into their mouth (Kody has had 3 at one time!) He kinda goes "brain dead" when a ball is around and he wants to play. But smart. And loyal. And loving.
