Golden Girls Review

I am addicted to the Golden Girls TV Series.  Who isn't? It has to be one of the funniest shows in my  opion on the tube. My fater used to love this show and he would never miss one of the eposides when I was a kid. So of course we all had to watch the show.  When I was younger I hated the show.  It ended when I was a Sophmore in high school and let me tell you that has to be almost eighteen years now. Three years ago I was staying up late reading and and I turned to the Lifetime network at midnight and caught one the reruns.  It dealed with Dorothy and her mother Sophie and some old friends from home. Of course the other couple thought Dorothy was their daughter.  I bought dyed laughing when Dorothy told that guy if he touched her his teeth would make it home before he did. This show really pushed the issues for the eighties and early ninites.  You take four women and put them in a house together in Florida.  Then you add Dorothy's ex-hushand Stan and top off the crashness of it all.  I loved Sophie the most. You never knew what would be coming out of her mouth. Like the time she told Blanche to wake up and smell the coffee you fossil,  You're old or when she called Rose the human speed bump. She was also at her best when she was calling someone else rude names. Its is sad to thank that Estelle Getty and Bea Aruther who plaved the mother and daugter Sophie and Dorothy are no longer with us.  You watch these old reruns and think God do I miss them.  It is a way way to honor these two fine gifted actress' memories by watching The Golden Girls.  I was up set when I thought Lifetime was not going to show the show anymore but now I watch in on the Halmark Channel instead.  They show at least three back to back hours of the amazing show.  That's six shows in three hours flat. Not bad.
