To the Point

My first experience with Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur was at my son-in-laws’ family’s Thanksgiving meal.

How could anything from the delicious vault of Godiva Chocolate be bad? It can’t.

A Closer Look

My husband and I stocked up on a bit of alcohol for our long journey. One I chose was a tiny ($3.31) bottle of this delicious spirit. It looks just like the 375ml size which costs about $27.00. It is very pretty to look at with its gold top and gold emblem.

Don’t tell my taste buds that white chocolate isn’t real chocolate since white chocolate bark is on the top of my list of delicious treats and my tongue thinks it is real chocolate!

Godiva’s White Chocolate Liqueur is 30 proof with an ABV of 15%. One ounce has 103 calories, 11 grams of carbohydrates and 11 grams of sugar.

The aroma is distinctly of alcohol with a bit of sweetness seeping through. It pours to a milky white. During my Thanksgiving meal I noticed that it left a creamy coating on the glass where the liquor had been. The taste is sweet but not too sweet. It tastes rich and just like white chocolate. The alcohol doesn’t come through until it’s swallowed.

After it went down I sensed the taste of melted white chocolate on my palate and down my throat. It left a nice, warm, tingling alcoholic sensation but nothing that I would call a burn. There are many recipes you can put Godiva White Chocolate in. For starters put a little in your coffee or sprinkle it on ice cream. For now I’m having a double treat since I’m putting it in my iced coffee.

I like it!

Thanksgiving, 2007....We bought a 750ml bottle to have since we were hosting Thanksgiving. We paid $20 for it which I thought was really a great price. It's still so good!
