Everybody's talking about the dentist created GoSMILE Advanced Tooth Whitening Kit. I have it, have used it all, and think it is much more hype than anything else. It's easy to use and less messy than other teeth whitening treatments but is nothing more than hydrogen peroxide and a few inert ingredients. They say you can whiten your teeth up seven shades in 10 days. Oh, come on!

I ordered the complete GoSMILE Advanced Tooth Whitening Kit from the official site. It included 28 ampules to use twice daily, seven "On the Go" ampules to use after dinner or when out, and Morning and Night toothpaste. At the time, they also gave me a little plastic bag and a free lip balm all for JUST $79.99 and tax and shipping. Let's call it a cool hundred bucks.
How Do You Use It?
First let me tell you HOW you use this system. The system uses little glass ampules of clear liquid with a tiny, spongy end. To use, you pop one in the middle, breaking the glass (It is covered with cardboard so you don't need to worry about cuts). The liquid will flow to the sponge tip and you essentially "brush" your teeth with the whitening liquid.
You should avoid eating or drinking for five minutes after use. The travel "on the go" ampules look and work the same but are not as strong as far as whitening ingredients (peroxide). They are for quick touch ups after coffee or a meal and leave your breath very clean and fresh. They are supposed to stop any staining before it happens.
The aromatherapy toothpastes taste awful. The morning and evening ones have a gross flavor and I don't use them. They don't have any whitening ingredients in them. They are just toothpaste and eww.
So now you know how to use this stuff.
Does It Work?
I used the ampules every day, morning and night, for 28 days. Now, I am not a smoker so I have that going for me but I am avid tea drinker and diet Pepsi drinker so I have that against me. Those stains shouldn't be THAT tough to break down.
The ampules stung my gums in areas and made them white (The peroxide bubbled up. Kind of eww.). Anyway, after 28 days, I saw maybe a shade or two whitening at best. I certainly saw nothing dramatic!
The on the go ampules actually were something I enjoyed. I liked being able to duck into the ladies' room, "brush my teeth" with the little ampoule's, and have fresh teeth and breath.
But as for the system, I got better results with Crest Whitestrips and even no name whitening gel that came with my electric toothbrush.
These are fancy and a bit easier to use than strips and trays but I don't believe they are any better at all. If you have sensitive teeth or gums, they will sting. If you have shallow pockets, they will also sting. The price is crazy for common ingredients. I know a big time New York City dentist came up with them but I still don't think they are worth the high cost from a results standpoint.
My Viewpoint
The GoSMILE Advanced Tooth Whitening Kit is expensive. It's worth a shot if you have the money and want something different than strips, gels, and trays. The ingredients are no better or more effective than much cheaper products though. You pay for the cute little ampules and the extras. I am not saying this is an ineffective system. I am saying you can get the same results with cheaper methods. And I am also saying that, if ANYONE saw a seven shade difference in their teeth in 10 days, I will be stunned.
The results are average. The cost is well above average. The ease of use is above average.
3 stars. I don't recommend this system only because it isn't better than any other teeth whitener but I also am not saying it's bad or ineffective. It can't hurt and may work well for you. But I wish I had kept my $100 and used it toward professional teeth whitening at the dentist's office.
