Ok, I have tried everything, every toy imaginable for my cats.  All three of them love, absolutely love Da-Bird.  My older female (6 1/2) will cry at night, every night, until we play with this toy.  It is amazing.  It is a pole with a string, like so many others, but at the end of the string is an attachement that  you can change.  The way the attachment is made, the toy at the end (feathers, or faux fur) spins as well as flies through the air.  It also makes a "whurrr" sound that makes the cats think that something is really flying.  This toy keeps them occupied for as long as you can...

An absolute must have!!!  All of my cats love it.  It is a great way to spend time with your cats/kittens.  And great exercise for them. The only down fall is my cats love it so much that they chew the feathers to bits, and I often have to replace them. (Once they get ahold of it it is hard to get back.)

We have several cats and they all love this toy. Iin fact they love playing with it so much they wear out the feathers.   It is also fun for the owner watching them try to get the Go-Cats Da Bird.  If you were going to get a present for someone who just adopted a cat or kitten, I would highly recommend getting this for them.  They will enjoy watching their cat play with the Go-Cat Da Bird, as much as the cat.  It does have replaceable feathers, which you definitely will need to buy if your cat likes it as much as ours do. This Go-Cat Da Bird toy for cats is equal to the fun dogs have chasing...

I began buying this product over ten years ago in a specialty shop in Kansas City.  Pre-internet, I knew of know other way to find this product and never realized that it's not just my cat that loses his mind over this toy!  Any cat owner that has reviewed this product on-line will admit that they've never seen a response from their cat quite like this.  Even at thirteen years of age, I can't hide this toy from my cat.  No matter where I put it, he'll find it.  He's never been a big fan of other store bought cat toys as he'd prefer a milk cap ring or a paper-bag...but there's just something... review »

Da Bird is one of the best cat toys on the market. Believe me, I have bought enought cat toys to open my own store...  My cat even has his own toy box. If you're looking for an interactive cat toy, Da Bird is one of the best ones on the market.

Basically, the toy consists of a wand with feathers dangling from a string. I thought all interactive feather toyes were basically the same until I got a Da bird (which was recommended by a feline behaviorist).

*Only* Da Bird is designed so that the feathers mimic the motion of a real bird flying - down to the fluttering sound of the wings! My cat will come...

We have an 18 year old diva feline who is a little fat (I prefer to say well upholstered), and it is sometimes difficult to get her to exercise.  My sister-in-law recomended this toy so we decided to give it a try.  Normally when we get her a new toy, she watches us play with it as if we are the stupidest and most entertaining species on earth, but she will not participate.  This toy is different.  Our cat is absolutely nuts for Da Bird.  She will even track it down and drag it around the house when we are not home.  For a sedentary old lady like our cat, this is stimulating her senses,...

I have bought so many different kinds of interactive cat toys and my cats usually just stare at me as I wave them around. When I bought a Da Bird for them I thought I'd get the same reaction. Boy was I surprised! All 3 of them couldn't wait to catch "the birdie". Christopher Cody, the biggest couch potato of the bunch, was actually jumping up in the air. I've never seen him do that before. My cats are indoor only so it's nice to have a way to get them to exercise. The only down side to Da Bird is that they quickly chew up the feather and I have to buy a replacement. However, being able to get... review »

I am not even kidding when I say that my cat carries this thing in her mouth around my house! I got her one when she was a kitten and ever since I have had to replace them every so often because she wears it out so much! It's comical to see her carry it around, but it's even more hilarious to watch her play with it! She would never tire of this toy- she could chase the thing for hours  (if i had that energy) and I am able to get her to jump really high with it! It's also good for getting her out from underneath the bed!

Our Siberian cat is an indoor cat who loves to play, For some reason da bird does not interest him.  He plays with the plastic wand part, carries it around but ignores the feathers and the part that is supposed to intrigue him.  He plays with it, guess that is what counts, but I think a straw might work as well.
