Sounds like another alternative to Yahoo Mail.

into trying new things, Every day computer user, wanting to get rid of spam, impressed with this product

Gmail —

I started using Gmail when I was selling my enclosed car hauler so I could keep the spam out of my regular email account. Seems when you place ads on many sites you get swamped with spam. I set up my account on Gmail in less than 5 minutes and even used a fake name since I didn't know how bad it would be.

Gmail Basics

Gmail is a product of Google and is very easy to use, it has all the features of the other sites and is very easy to navigate. It even allows you to enter chat with your friends right from your email page, now that is nice! It even keeps a list of your friends right there on the main page so you don't have to go searching for them.

The Gmail Edge

This one just flipped me out......All my other experience with email accounts just list each email on a separate line as they come in. To my utter surprise and delight Gmail has gone a step ahead in this department. I recently started selling some of my coin collection off and am getting replies on my ad...Well Gmail groups emails from the same person (replies) on the same line and even lets you know how many times it was replied to, the date of the last reply and the first part of the opening sentence from that reply!! Now that not only cuts down on space but it lets you keep better track of each email to that person.

Bottom Line

I started using it because it is Free and I didn't want to overload my main email account. After 6 months I have gotten NO SPAM from using it...which is always a plus! It tracks my emails by person/reply so it saves me time from searching for other emails about an ad I have placed. Gmail has been a very pleasant surprise and I may just start using it for my main account soon.

Google has always been my favorite search engine and they have done an excellent job on their email program as well. If you need an alternate email account or even a main one I would encourage you to check out Gmail, I think you will be glad you did!
