Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)

This is the famous David Mamet play that most salesmen revere.

Alfred Hitchcock introduced the McGuffin - an insignificant thing that the plot of a film was built around. In Psycho, for example, the theft of $40,000 is parlayed into a good 45 minutes of film only to dissolve into a horrifying shower scene from which events rapidly descend, the $40,000 never playing a major role in the story again.

Released in the year 1992, Glengarry Glen Ross made a very quit debut. Thinking back, I never heard of the film until it came to video, where it found most of it's audience. This film pulls no punches, striped bare of all the Hollywood glamor, and stands on a wonderful script, and a collection of actors performances to become one of the best movies you may ever see. A unicorn when compared to the offerings of today.
