Not Worth the money

1

I made a big pot of homemade chili beans and cornbread for a family dinner we were having. I made a special trip to the store to buy the beano so I wouldn't have the gas associated with the beans. I took two just before we ate and they did nothing for me. I had just as much gas and bloating as if I hadn't taken anything at all. The next day I was going to warm me up a bowl so I took two more pills about thirty minutes before I was going to eat them, thinking that maybe they hadn't had enough time to start working the night before when I ate the beans. However, they still did nothing for me. I would not recommend these to anyone needing help with gas and I would tell you not to waste any money on them. They do not work. Effectiveness They did absolutely nothing for me, did not prevent gas or bloating. Ease of Use They are very easy to use since I bought the pill form and all you had to do was swallow them. Immediacy Did not work immediately or afterwards.

Pass less gas with Beano

3

If you're gassy, you might want to give Beano a try. It comes in pill forms that you consume (1 or 2, depending on what you plan to eat) right before your first bite of food. I take Beano before every lunch and dinner meal and yes, it has helped a bit. My body has less of an urge to pass gas than it did without Beano. The only drawback is that Beano's kinda expensive, and I'm trying to look into a more cost-effective brand that may be even more effective quality-wise.

Love this product.

I absolutely love Beano! Before trying this product I would suffer from terrible digestion pain and pressure and bloating and now when I know I am about to eat foods that may not always agree with me I simply take Beano before hand and I can avoid the discomfort. This is a wonderful supplement! I dont know how I ever lived without it.

Doesn't work for me.

Along with many of the unpleasant effects of diabetes for me was difficulty with regularity.  The solution presented by my doctor as well as all the health advice that I read was to increase the fiber in my diet.  That was not hard to do as it fits right in with a diabetic diet.  Unfortunately it also led to gas and bloating for me.  The bloating I could live with, but the gas made social contacts embarrassing.  The TV, magazines, newspapers, Internet, and even bill boards touted the wonders of Beano.  I checked it out and fond it was a food enzyme dietary supplement that helped prevent gas.  It bothered me that it was a dietary supplement.  I have never believed in a natural food diet, but I'm always willing to try an offered solution.  I started using it before every meal; because all the food I was eating seemed to be causing the problem.  It certainly has not worked well enough for me.  I can notice no difference in the gas and bloating. I'm still working on a solution.

Beano relieves my bloat.

Beano provides great gas relief.  I take a couple of pills in the morning and it seems to help all day.  I used to feel bloated all the time, but after taking Beano, I feel so much better. I do not know if it works if you take it after you eat.  You are supposed to take it before meals, and if you follow the directions, it works well. I noticed a difference the first time I used it.  The bloat that usually accompanies eating was reduced dramatically. The pill size is really easy to swallow. The bottles come in a variety of sizes, and the last couple boxes I purchased had a coupon printed on the inside of the box. They seem to be about average in price.  It would not hurt to be cheaper, but it certainly is not outrageous.  It was very comparable to the store brand gas relief pills. I have not noticed any undesirable tastes or other such side effects.  There has been no problem with excess gas.

This is serious stuff ... REALLY!

Somehow it is hard to take seriously enough a product designed to control flatulance.  Ribald commercials larded with almost Vaudevillian humor *("It even works on **HUSBANDS**!", Yuk yuk yuk!*) don't help to promote a sense of proper gravity either.  Nevertheless, SmithGlaxoKline's *Beano *("*Take Beano before and there will be no gas after!*) is an earnest little product vested with a serious mission -- to help those people who suffer from Complex Carbohydrate Intolerance (CCI) and therefore have a problem digesting things like: **Grains:** Bagels, barley, breakfast cereals, granola, oatbran, pasta, rice bran, rye, sorghum (grain), wheatbran, whole wheat flour, and whole grain breads. **Vegetables:** Beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, corn, cucumbers, leeks, lettuce, onions, parsley and sweet peppers. **Beans:** Black-eyed peas, bog beans, broad beans, chickpeas, lentils, lima beans, mung beans, peanuts and peanut butter, pinto beans, red kidney beas, seed flour (sesame, sunflower), and soybeans and soy milk. According to the information on the *Beanogas.com* (yes, Really!) website, *Beano* isn't a drug but rather the only product made from a natural enzyme that helps your body to process complex carbohydrates better by breaking down complex sugars found in natural foods before they reach the colon, making them simpler to digest and preventing gas before it starts. **MY VIEWPOINT:** I can't help it, the thought of *Beano* still makes me smile a little but I respect it more than I used to.  The fact is that taking *Beano* before a meal really can make it possible to eat better foods and feel better afterward.
