Glade Sense and Spray (Automatic Spray) Review

I received this product to try as part of a Bzz Agent campaign for the new product.

The product comes in a very attractive packaging & has a neat, modern look. It is unobtrusive & isn't as easily identified as an airfreshener as some others I have seen. Easy to assemble, comes with batteries & scent canister.

I set the product up on my desk in my primary 'work' space. The idea is that the motion sensor detects a shadow (i.e. movement) & sprays one shot of scent every 30 minutes (or less, if there is no movement deteceted). You can also choose to press the button if you want to manually dispense scent more often.

The sensor works reasonably well. I have had it not go off several times, however, when the light in my room (I have a dimmer switch on & sometimes keep it at a low level) is dim or something large was casting a permanent shadow on the sensor & it did not detect my movement. It also does go off in response to the movements of my pets, which may be an inconvenience to people like me who have cats & dogs jumping around all the time!

The scent itself is not unpleasant. The one I am testing has "Clean Linen" scent. I also obtained one with the "Apple" scent but I think that one may be a bit overpowering, "canned" smelling for me. I personally wish that these air freshener companies would lean more toward softer, more natural smelling scents!

All in all it is a decent product. I definitely prefer the idea of an air freshener that only dispenses scent when there is someone in the room to benefit from it, than one that clogs the air for days on end, all the time, with a cloying odor. The scent is noticeable enough to overpower some animal odors in my house.

It is a decent product & one that I think people who like to have scent products around their homes should definitely give a try.
