The verdict - I'll just stick to regular candles, thank you very much.
The facts- I have been wanting to try Glade Scented Oil Candles for a long time but was unwilling to pay the hefty price of about $7 for a basic candle holder and 2 small candles. But last week I found a huge selection of them at 75% off at my local grocery store which is going out of business so I bought a few sets for only about $2 each.
Glade Scented Oil Candles come in several different scents but the only one that really appealed to me was Dewberry Dreams which is a mixed berry scent. It smells really nice but the scent is not as strong as I hoped it would be. Nor is the candle very large. It's is only about a quarter of the size of a normal votive candle. It sits on a metal harp shaped thing in the center of the glass bowl. The metal gets hot and causes the candle to melt and give off its scent. The bowl is not very attractive and the whole contraption just doesn't add much interest or ambiance to the room. In fact, it looks like some kind of weird drug burning device or something. It just looks odd and I don't like it. Plus those little candles melt and only burn for about 2.5 hours. That's not long enough for me. I like to burn candles all day.
Star Power - *2 stars* - Not horrible, but not for me. Looks weird, doesn't last long enough and is way too expensive to use on a regular basis.
