Glade Glass Scents Need a MAJOR Do-Over!

1

I have tried a lot of Glade scented home products over the years and most of them have been successes. However, I've also tried some Glade products that have been pretty terrible and the Glade Glass Scents scores an F when it comes to scenting my home. Sure, the decorative glass holder is very pretty, especially with a colorful scent pad behind it (mine is pink). The problem is that the scent is pretty much non-existent after a couple of days. Even when I first opened the package, the scent wasn't very strong. I was hopeful that it would get stronger after it was open for a bit, but alas, I was wrong. I actually gave this product two tries, as I also bought a refill scent along with my initial purchase of the glass holder. When the first scent gave out after a few days, I popped in the refill and had the same problem. I even moved the glass holder from a kitchen shelf to our smaller bathroom and still didn't notice any scent. I was really surprised at how poor the Glade Glass Scents performed. I'm sure that Glade test-marketed this product before selling it at the stores so I wonder how it got past the test-phase. Regardless, unless you want a pretty glass holder in your home that has no scent, I do not recommend purchasing this. Glade needs a major do-over for this product!

Don't recommend

These are pretty enough and you would think they would work, the only use I have found for them is a car air freshener and even then they only smell for a couple days. These do not work for any room in your house, they barely smell at all I will not be purchasing again.

Looks good in the package, but thumbs down on functionality.

Was excited when I saw these because most are ugly little plastic containers that don't add to the decorative appeal of a room. I bought the clean linen because I have bought that scent in the spray as well and really liked it. When I opened it I was very dissapointed. Someone needed to do more R&D on the design before they released the final product. My husband knocked this off of the cabinet when a hand towel barely brushed it and off it went with the glass breaking in the floor. The weighting of the glass just doesn't seem right. Also, I wasn't impressed with how long the scent lasted as well. It seemed to majorly diminish in the 10 days before it met it's fate on our bathroom floor.

Not worth it.

I use glade and trust the brand so when this item came out I wanted to try it. Unfortunately it's not worth the money. The glass part looks nice and its easy to slide in the gel part but after such a short time you can't smell it anymore. You have to be close to smell the scents or have to have many around a small room. I say this is a miss.

Pretty glass to look at but lacking in scent

Glade Glass Scents Home Fragrancer was a big disappointment to me. Sure, they look pretty and are available in a number of different scents, but they just weren't effective. So here you have this glass dish with a pretty colored waxy type surface. The first day you open it's pleasant and may work well in say a bathroom but it doesn't take long for the effectiveness to wear off and in order to get any real scent you have to "layer" with say sprays or plug ins. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of having the glass fragrance. To be honest, I was better off with the .99 Glade cones and placing them in places where no one could see them than I was in using these (that buy the way if dropped or knocked from a table or surface can break).

Trendy, expensive, but way too much smell.

I picked up two of these to freshen up the bathrooms in my home. I tried two different scents/colors to go along with the decor of each bathroom. I thought that they would add a subtle scent with a nice look. I took the piece out of the packaging and was honestly surprised by the weight of the object. I immediately worried about this piece of glass being knocked over in the bathroom and then bouncing off the counter top and hitting the floor. The glass would break everywhere. I set it down and was very disappointed by how small of a footprint the item had. I pushed it slightly and it had no problems tipping and falling over. I immediately second thought my whole idea. So I decided to put a little double sided tape on the bottom and placed it where it would be less likely to be knocked over. I came back later that day to see how the room smelled and was blow away by the tremendous amount of scent this piece put out. It smelled nice, from two rooms away; but once you entered the bathroom you were overwhelmed.

glade glass scents home fragrancer is decorative

I have purchased the Glade Glass Scents Home Fragrancer in multiple different scents.  I thought they were very decorative and trendy in design, they fit in any modern decor.  I was not as impressed with the fragrances and there effectiveness as I had hoped to be.  They were a little more expensive then I thought they should be for the effectiveness they had on fragrancing the room. They also seemed to lose their scent very quickly unless you use them in a very confined area.  I have  used  alot of Glade products over the years and this one was just average in the performance.  if you are looking for something trendy looking for your home and not really over powering smell then you will probably enjoy this product, however with two cats and a dog it did not do much to cover or eliminate the odors I was looking to hide.  I more recommend the Glade candles for stronger odors and more efficient results.

I purchased the Glade Glass Scents a while back.  I put one in my kitchen window and it was great.  I couldn't smell it throughout the entire kitchen but when I was near the window I definatley could.  I also put one into my bathroom where I don't have any windows.  It lasted a lot longer but it got flakly looking.  It was in between 2 pieces of glass so it didn't get all over it just looked weird.  In the bathroom I smelled it a lot longer than in my kitchen.  I really like these and will definately keep using them in my bathroom.  I was worried about it falling and breaking because of the glass but mine never did fall.

I love these!

I love this product.  I have been using this product ever since I discovered my parents using it.  I do not remember the scent names, but I am partial to the blue (Cool Linen?).  The fragrance is light, airy, and not overpowering.  However, it is strong enough to mask the odors from cooking onions and the litter box.  The green scent is also pleasant, but tends to become too sweet-smelling for my tastes as does the yellow-orange colored scent.  Overall, all three scents are pleasant.  I think there is something for everyone. I keep two in my house at all times.  While I think they are a little pricey, I am very satisfied.  they work so well I am content to pay for them.

Glade Glass Scents makes my house smell nice

**To the Point** These room fresheners are easy to use and smell nice. **A Closer View** I bought two scents. One was Ferns and Blossoms which is green. I also Clean Linen which is blue. I bought them to match my décor. My living room is blue and green. What caught my eye about these over the dozens of products now on the market was how pretty they looked. The glass itself has a very pretty sculpted look to it. There are fern shaped leaves sculpted into the glass. They are hard to see but look carefully. The bottom has some glass that juts out in a semi circle making it less apt to fall. However it can fall. I don't take the chance. We don't have children in the house so I don't worry about it falling like others might. The scent last about 30 days. You'll know it's about finished because the odor is so slight and also because the gel dries up for the most part leaving dots of color on the inside of the glass. We are told that Glass Scents use natural fragrance oils. There are warnings: Don't place it with the perfume side down. Don't place it on any varnished or finished surface and don't place it near an open flame. **Jo's Viewpoint** **I like it! **
