This is the easiest stuff I have ever used. You sprinkle it onto your carpet and vacuum it up. After you are done your house has a pleasant, fresh smell to it. It lasts for a couple of days. My favorite part is that you don't have to light candles or spray anything. All you have to do is vacuum. Glade offers other scents as well so you can switch it up a bit.

I absolutely love Glade carpet and room odor eliminator! Its simple and easy to use. You just sprinkle it over your carpet and vacuum it up. It always leaves my house smelling fresh! My friends and family even notice when they come over. I also own a cat that goes outside once in a while. Glad cleans up all the smells she makes, you wouldn't even know I am a pet owner! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to freshen their carpet.

I sprinkled the powder (clean linen) onto the carpet. as soon as I sprinkled it, the whole room smelled great. I left it down for about 15 minutes. But when I went to vacuum, it didn't pick up much, so I swept it up.. It left my carpet a little ashy looking. (carpet is a dark purple) So I then sprayed some fabric refresher over top. It was a long process. but I mean, the room still smelled good. And also eliminated the animal piss smell I had coming from the carpet in the begining. I recommend a strong vacuum.

Glade's **Carpet & Room Odor Eliminator** powder did it's job, and it did it well...in fact, I think *too* well. The smell is a bit overpowering, even if you are careful with how much you use. I purchased the **Clean Linen** scent and enjoyed the soft, fruity-freshness, like cotton shirts tossed in a sweet summer breeze, for the first few minutes as I allowed it to settle into my carpet and remove any odors, any staleness, etc. We have relatively new carpet (no less than a year-old), but it lost that 'fresh out of the showroom' smell. Coupled with the aroma of the cats' litterbox...our living room was in dire need of a scent-lift. Then, it became sort of cloying. Vacuuming did lessen the power of the smell to some degree. Yet it was there, and it wasn't going to let you forget. It hung around for a few days and then suddenly disappeared, not that I missed it too much. Our house has vaulted ceilings and wide, swooping halls, so I really didn't have to (and would be afraid to) add this anywhere but the family room. It really should be called 'Household Odor Eliminator', because you could smell it everywhere. Then, another problem came. I noticed that my hands swelled up badly after freshening up with this product. I passed it off as merely irritation from vacuuming, sweeping, and whatnot, but then it came back (again!) after I had lain on the floor whilst reading a book. I realized I was having a bad reaction to the powder, so I re-vacuumed the floor and found that I had no other issues after that. If you have sensitive skin, I would advise purchasing an air refresher or scented oils as this did a number of my skin. This is OK, but it's too strong for my tastes, and having hot, red swollen sausage fingers for a few hours is not something I wish to reincarnate anytime soon.

Used the lavender vanilla scent on the carpet at my vacation rental on a Tuesday as someone had cooked maple sausage & the odor permeated the 2 bedroom home, The sausage odor goes into all the fabrics throughout the home. Had used this product on a berber carpet in my own home & it appeared to be fine, the carpet was soft to walk on & no strong odor from the product. At the rental it was a different story & a different type of carpet, Sprinkled less than 1/2 a container & left it on for an hour or so (directions say a few minutes) then vacuumed. Was pleased till I walked up the driveway the next day & could smell the perfume smell from the carpet from outside the home. Concerned I sprinkled two boxes of baking soda on the carpet trying to neutralize it & left it for 4 hours then vacuumed, smell still permeating outside today, Thursday. Am concerned as guests are checking in today & some cannot handle these types of chemicals. Am hoping they will be OK with it & I do not have to move them to someone else's rental & lose money. Am so concerned & depressed over this. Any ideas how to remove this strong perfume smell from the carpet without having to hire a carpet cleaner?

I'm crazy about anything that makes my house smell good and. I'm also crazy about fragrances that remind me of the Tropics. Glade has made me very happy with their new **Tropical Mist Carpet and Room Odor Eliminator**. It's a powder that you sprinkle on your carpet before you vacuum and it smells heavenly. It works better at eliminating deep down carpet odor than any other product that I have ever used. Although I have pets that live indoors, we keep them very clean and they don't make my house smell bad at all. My problem is that my house is the place where my four sons and their friends all hang out. I love all of the boys and I don't mind them being at our house anytime, but sometimes their stinky feet and sweaty bodies make me nauseous. Imagine 5 or 6 teenaged boys coming in from playing a game of football in the yard, taking off their shoes at the door, and walking on my floors with their hot, yucky feet. It's gross. I burn candles and spray Fabreez and Oust very often and they work very well most of time to keep our house smelling nice. But odors that get in your carpet are hard to get rid of. However, since I bought Glade Carpet & Room Odor Eliminator, Tropical Mist Fragrance I am convinced that using it is the best way to get rid of carpet odor and make my house smell great, short of replacing the carpet. I love lilacs, gardenias, plumeria and frangipanini. I am a sucker for any product made with these scents. Although Liliac Spring is no longer part of the Glade fragrance line, I continue to use Glade Carpet & Room deodorizer. It is an easy, quick way to freshen my home and give it an air lift. Glade Carpet & Room deodorizer is an easy, quick way to freshen my home after cooking smelly foods, Tessi's wet-dog pet odors and my husband's stale sweatpants. I absolutely LOVE the new Glade Carpet and Room Odor Eliminator! I think I paid almost 2.00 a piece for them. This powder smells amazing and does not clump up like most others! I sprinkle it all over my carpet before vacuuming and it really helps to eliminate any smells from the animals and the children! After vacuuming the Clean Linen scent stays in the air for a day or two, a little goes a pretty long way! I have a lot of trouble finding powdered odor eliminator because my husband has asthma and the majority of them will choke him out of the house!! This Glade Clean Linen is not nearly as harsh but still gives off an amazing amount of scent that lasts! I have also tried the Tropical scent but everyone prefered this one! I would say a bottle lasts about 6 vacuumings! I think it's a great product and a great value for the price and would definetely recommend this to people who love to have a fresh smelling house but can't burn candles of use many air fresheners inside!
