Living in a home that is owned by cats, you really have to have something around that can brighten up the apartment. Odors are sure to follow them around, and I have a product I use as a go to in the pinch. Normally I have some of the plug-ins working in key locations, but there are times where you just want to get rid of a smell quickly and easily. So, in those instances I go with a Glade Aerosol Spray that I have in my kitchen and bathroom areas. It is an easy enough concept, and I have decided that it is worth the $1.99 that I pay for a can.
The one that I have started liking the most, is the Apple Cinnamon one that I have. It is quite potent on the cinnamon end of the spectrum, and the apples are just a subtle undertone of the spray. It is a nice smell to it, and after it has settled for a little while, it actually reminds me of more like a fir tree that has been wet. I like the smell a lot, and it is one that I have continued going back to for that reason. Needless to say, it also makes me slightly hungry each time I breathe it in, because of the association with apple pie.
The Glades Sprays come in a number of different options including some fruitier ones, and a vanilla breeze type that I have used and liked before. I have enough fruit smells in the house with my Glade and FeBreeze plug-ins, so I am looking for something different when it comes to the quick fixes. My glade Apple Cinnamon is then exactly what I am looking for. The canister itself is a 9 ounce metal "bottle" with a plastic cap put over the aerosol part of the can. Depressing a button on the top of the plastic cap, presses down the spray button on the can, and lets out a nice spray of the substance. Be sure when you use it, that you are spraying it away from anyone.
The spray comes out in a fine mist that will give off its fragrance quite quickly. The spray is also very strong, and will cover up anything very fast. So, no matter what you are trying to get rid of, I think this will work for you. It instructs you to shake well before each use, to hold it upright, and spray towards the center of the room for the best results. It is also advised to not use it around flames or fires, because it could cause a fire. Also keep it in monitored temperatures (under 120F) so that you don't risk the can bursting. It won't be hard for anyone to figure out how to use the spray, as it is quite self explanatory.
I use the Glade Apple Cinnamon for a couple of reasons including odor control. But, I also like it because it isn't a lingering fragrance. This could be a detractor for some, but I want to enjoy it for a little while, and then I want it to go away. I would say you can smell it well for about 5-10 minutes, and then it will be gone, unless you used it really heavily. It does eliminate the first odor in the process, so in my opinion it is really worth it. If you are looking for a fragrance that is going to hang around take a look at the Glade Plug-Ins Scented Oil Fan or the FeBreeze NOTICEables. Either way, I think that the Glade quick Sprays are a good tool to have, and in particular the Apple Cinnamon fragrance.
