I'm a big vegetable lover, albeit mostly a salad eater.  That used to suffice until I had children who weren't as big on salads as I am.  After pushing canned vegetables and cut up carrots on them for years without much success, I was happy when I discovered Glad Simply Cooking Microwave Steaming Bags.  Anything with the word "simple" in the title has me sold.

Unless you consider boiling water for pasta and throwing a frozen meal into the microwave, I am not a cook.  I have tried to get into it but if a recipe has more than five ingredients, I move onto something easier.  That is no longer the case now that I use Glad Simply Cooking Microwave Steaming Bags.  It's SO easy to cut up some vegetables, put them into the steaming bag, and microwave them for a few minutes.  Even a cooking novice like myself can easily get the hang of this.

I also like that Glad provides simple recipes inside the box.  Garlic Sesame Vegetable Medley?  It's very easy to make and tastes great.  Got a hankering for a ham & cheese omelet?  Believe it or not, but you can cook one using only three ingredients and have it on the table in less than three minutes.  There are also several more recipes available on the Glad website including meat and fish dishes.

The only downside to using Glad Simply Cooking Microwave Steaming Bags is that they are disposable and add to our landfills.  I feel guilty each time I throw one away.  I really should learn how to cook using regular old pots and pans, but if this is the only way that I can find the motivation to cook healthy for my family, then I will continue to do so.

While my family isn't calling me Emeril just yet, they are enjoying the tasty meals that I'm making using Glad Simply Cooking Microwave Steaming Bags.

For someone who is a Vegetarian, I would hope you would know how to cook veggies.
Ewww..I'm having a flashback of your spinach dip stuff at TGIF's. Thanks for that. :)

Haven't tried these. But we do steam things in the microwave. I didn't know you could make a ham and cheese omelet in the bags. Good review.
