I have a cold, one of those awful summer colds where the kids want to go out and play and all I want to do is take a drug and sleep in bed.  My loving husband picked up **Vitamin Water**(***Essential*** -- Orange Flavored with Vitamin C and Calcium, ***Revive***-- Fruit Punch Flavored with Vit B and Potassium and ***XXX,***with Acai, Blueberry and Pomegranate.

***My VIewpoint:***  I was disappointed in the **Vitamin Water Essential with Vitamin C.**  The taste was like drinking Tang, and I was never a fan of that orange flavored drink.  There was some sort of chemical taste as well as a texture to the water that I did not enjoy.  I had hoped that it would help to soothe my sore throat but think that it may have made it worse.  It did not have any particular aroma, and in the bottle appeared to be orange colored water.***  ***I was not expecting instant results of course, but at least a little boost, after a good night's sleep.  It was difficult to drink it, even over the course of the evening because of the taste.

In the morning, I decided upon the **Vitamin Water Revive, with Vit. B and Potassium.** The flavor was refreshing, and it was difficult to hold back and drink it in individual servings.  I admit I followed up with another Advil for the headache (unfortunately I am all out of [Aleve!)][1] There was no nasty aftertaste.  It didn't taste like a child's fruit punch, was not too thick or sugary either.  Again in appearance it looked like water colored with a violet color.

I admit, I am not "revived" to my old self, but the great taste and refreshing nature of this drink did give me a pick me up.  I feel like I can survive another couple of hours until the children take a nap, when I first got up I just wanted to stay in bed.  I may even get some work done.  It tastes great, is good for me, and I will definitely be drinking the Revive flavor again.  Essential, is not so essential to me, next time I think I will go with antioxidants and see how they make me feel.

**Vitamin Water XXX**, is pretty sexy as a drink!  It is so delicious.  I finished it over the course of the evening. I can handle this type of X rated stuff any day of the week!  It was so delicious and refreshing, not to mention 200 mg of antioxidants rounded off my evening pretty well.  I can still taste the blend of pomegranate and blueberry, and since my store was having a sell on them for .88 a bottle, I went back and picked up three more.

The next morning, after a couple days of this formula, some Advil and Zyrtec to handle the sinus problem and I was back to my old self, even taking the girls for a morning of play at a splash pad, and I didn't even need to bring my Kleenex!

***Bottom line: ***they are better for you than soda, with the tons of coupons I have (buy 1 get 1) they are not too expensive, they have vitamins and minerals and some of the flavors even taste great.  One the down side, you may have to do a lot of shopping to get to try all the flavors and decide which one you like best.

I love the lemonade flavor but that is about it. The taste is not very good on the rest of them. I know other people seem to like other flavors but i just can't see why. The color never seems to be consistant and when i complained to the company about a very bad looking lemonade they told me it was normal even though the normal white color was not BROWN. The company needs to learn how to make things consistant. And don't even get me started on the price. Gatorade has figured out that they don't have to kill their loyal customers wallets but vitamin water has not. The price is rediculous for a water with vitamins in it.

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

Something has to be done about the caps on the loose bottles, when a 6 pk is bought, there is no problem at all. But when a single, loose, bottle is bought, omg, those caps are so tight! How about pliers, pounding, sharp edge of knife. Zero vitamin water, is the greatest, but those caps. Could anyone please make do and make some changes in them?? Little costly too, up to $1.89 per bottle, in some places, low as .88 per bottle some places.

innovative flavors for sports drink

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

I never was really sure if it was the best choice for electrolytes but we all know those choices are limited usually where vitaminwater is found. I've been on diet roller coasters in which I was to watch the sodium and sugar intake. Cheat days I would consume the stuff. I did get a significant amount of replenishment then but I think it was pschyological in the fact that on a normal basis I only consume 340mg of sodium and the same in sugar daily. So at point any drink might felt that way. Gatorade powerade or a grape soda. But I will stand firm in agreement with the array of exotic flavors. That will always bring me back.

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

I'm not a big drinker of water, so finding Glaceau's Vitamin Water is a life saver! Some of the flavors are not a big win with me, but others like Dragon's Blood are amazing. I got my son into these vitamin waters and he loves them. We keep a stock of these to have every day.

Vitamin water

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

Glacéau vitamin water is great! I first tried vitamin water when I was in high school and have loved it ever since! The only negative thing that I can say about vitamin water is that it has as many calories as a soda but you get more ounces per calories then a soda and all of the vitamins! I think this is a great alternative for people who just don't enjoy the taste of water because I know that I don't like having water with my meals! Some flavors are better tasting then others but I feel that is a matter of personal preference. My favorite flavors of vitamin water are the orange orange flavored one and the pink strawberry kiwi flavor. Vitamin water really makes me feel hydrated and I know that's don't get all of the vitamins I need in a day and vitamin water is a great complement to that. I always feel like I'm doing something great for my body when I drink it. The flavor is light like Gatorade and the bottles are recyclable!

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

I drink a vitamin water every single day, I am addicted to them. They are so refreshing and energizing. They have just the right amount of flavor and sweetness that makes them very thirst quenching. My favorite flavor is the dragon fruit flavor, just delicious.

Delicious and refreshing

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

I hate drinking plain water but I don't like drinking things like soda that have too much high fructose corn syrup. I find vitamin water to be a good balance, it's not too bad for you but it's still nice and sweet. There are many flavors and I find some of them to be a little bland but some of them are very flavorful, so how good this product is kind of depends on the flavor I think. I do find them to be nice and hydrating and refreshing.

Nice alternative to soda

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

When you are in the mood for something other than water, but don't want the sugar content of soda, then this is a good option. The flavor is very 'light' (i.e. it has a faint flavor), but it does help when you want to drink something with more flavor than water.

Good flavor, but not sure if the vitamin part helps much

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

I like many of the varieties of this drink. The dragonfruit flavor is good (but very very sweet tasting), the Refresh really is very refreshing and not too sweet, and the XXX (acai) one is great. They are very refreshing and enjoyable to drink. It is a nice break from soda or something along those lines. And it is nice that they add in some vitamins so at least you are getting something good for your body along with the sugar. But, I don't think anyone should think of this as health food or anything. It has a lot of sugar (probably close to the amount in sodas) and I am very hesitant about what the "natural" flavors are. So, I guess it really depends on why you are drinking this. If for some sort of daily boost of vitamin, I think you are better getting a real multivitamin and skipping the added sugar which makes your immune system not work as well. But, if you are just looking for a sugary, refreshing drink then I think this is a good choice, especially compared to soda.

Great way to get your vitamins

Comments about Glaceau - Vitamin Water:

I love vitamin waters. They are refreshing and they come in a variety of flavors. I like the pomegranate one personally. I don't like taking a daily vitamin so these are nice to drink when you are feeling under the weather or if you are feeling unhealthy and dehydrated. It's nice too because the labels have all of the vitamin and nutrient information on the back so you can make sure you are not drinking something that is going to interfere with a current medication. I like to bring vitamin waters to friends and family who have colds or are sick.
