I have always been a sucker for "fizzy drinks." My parents used to joke as a kid that I could survive on soup and soda (and those still are two of my major food groups, though I love to drink water too). I like coffee, but will often get heartburn from it if I drink too much, and living in So Cal I oftren want a caffeine boost that is cold, not hot (and i hate waiting in lines!)
A lot of energy drinks, even some of the ones that are fruit flavored somewhat have that funky aftertaste that reminds me of the after taste of ginger ale that is off. Some people love that flavor (you can really taste it in Red Bull). I really dislike it. More and more now there are energy drinks with Vitamins and other herbs that don't taste that way. Vitamin Water by Glaceau (which has a lot of great flavotred rehydrating drinks) has 3 relatively new soda versions that are energy drinks, and they have become siome of my favorites. The have Tropical Citrus, Fruit Punch, and Dragonfruit. The dragon fruit version does taste a bit like dragon fruit (which has a really subtle but delicous flavor) which amazes me. The tropical cirtus has a nice tang to it and isn't too sweet. The fruit punch tastes like, well, fruit punch.
Overall, good energy drinks with some additional vitamins for people who don't like the herbally flavor and/or after taste of a lot of the first ones out. They don't seem to pack quite as much punch as the SoBe NoFear or some other energy drinks I've tried, but they do manage to wake me up and get me in gear in the AM for work
