I was hesitant when I picked up a couple of bottles of Glaceau at my local natural foods section of Kroger. But then i thought what the hey it had lots of vitamins and a blend of stevia and cane sugar called Truvia. I will admit I am a big fan of plain old pure Stevia not these manufactured "blends" but I still ended up buying a case of Glaceau Vitamin Water10 when it went on sale at my local Costco.

It seems there is only a little syrup occuring as natural sugar in Multi V Lemonade and the taste is not sickening sweet like in fruit juice or punch drinks. And there is no funny film or aftertase like you get from the power "sport waters". Multi V actually tastes more like grapefruit juice to me since the sweetener is so mild. The only ingredient listed that I balk at and am not so sure about is the "pyridoxine hydrocloride"  I had thought anything "hydrocloride" was bad but apparently it is vitamin B6 in drug form. If you are curious like I was check out this website  http://www.drugs.com/mmx/pyridoxine-hydrocloride.html

I wouldn't reccomend this as a good drink for kids even though they probably put these "drugs" in everything now from tablet vitamins to drinks. That aside I found Multi V to be very refreshing.  And Glaceau likes to write quirky things about all their drinks on the labels. I recall the label on one that had dragon fruit and vitamin C in it that said something like it would make your grandma "bech press" a hundred.

Well this one might not make you bench press a few hundred (it has less vitamin C) but it does have some serious vitamins going for it: Per bottle there is 25% A, 100% C, 10% calcium, 25% vit E, 25% vit B3, 25% vit B6, 40% folic acid, 25% vit B12, 25% vit B5,10% magnesium, 25% zinc. There are 6 grams of sugar a bottle and 4 grams of carbs. I like it much better than the other low calorie drinks I have found with Splenda and other cancer causing artificial sweeteners. Plus it is good for diabetics wanting to get away from the latter. Overall four stars because I am enthusiastic but not one hundred percent sold on it.
