For a recent vacation, I wanted to bring trial-size shampoo and conditioner with me, so I bought **Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner** and [Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo][1] .  Although it contains a scent I can't stand, tea tree oil, the conditioner itself smells more like peppermint.

One thing I really like about the shampoo to this set is how it makes my whole head tingle, and luckily, the conditioner does the same thing.  The first couple ingredients are: tea tree , peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil, so that's probably what is making the product so tingly.  It actually makes my scalp feel cool and refreshed!

Like the shampoo, this conditioner is made with all natural ingredients, not tested on animals, paraben-free and contains no petroleum or mineral oil.

A little bit of **Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner**goes a long way, so it really will last a long time.  It is definitely made with high-quality ingredients, and smells nice.  If you're looking to try a good, all natural conditioner, this one is worth a shot!

Effectiveness
The ingredients look extremely similar in both the shampoo and the conditioner, so I'm not sure what makes it different, but it does do a good job of conditioning my hair.  When I get out of the shower, my hair is easier to comb out, but don't use too much, or you might weigh your hair down.

Scent
Although this is a "tea tree" conditioner, you can actually smell a good bit of peppermint. That's really great for me because I really dislike the way tea tree smells.

I bought this product because I was trying to switch over my conventional health and beauty aid products to more organic, safe products.  I researched the conditioner on the cosmetic ratings database and was at ease with the rating (hazard score of 3).  My hair was difficult to comb after using the product and did not dry well (I try to let my hair air dry as much as possible), I had to spend more time styling my hair than what I was used to.  And after a couple of weeks my hair appeared to get dingy, in that it lost its luster, not at all what I would expect from a conditioner.  I thought maybe it was just me analyzing it too much.  But then my hairdresser asked me, very nonchalantly, what I was using for hair care.  And I told her about the Giovanni products and she said that my hair looked dirty and unwashed and asked if I was scrubbing good enough (the horror!).  So she used a clarifying shampoo and luckily, my hair bounced back to normal.  Honestly, if you want to go the au natural route, I would recommend an apple cider vinegar rinse rather than the Giovanni conditioner.

Put your scalp back in it's place on bad days!

By

from Amherst, MA

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

This conditioner is great if you have any kind of difficult scalp issues at all. The Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner has a kind of invigorating tingly feeling while I am putting it on and it seems to really help me when my scalp has that kind of itchy feeling and is making a lot of dandruffy sort of bits. I don’t think that I would want to use it every day because I’m not sure that tea tree oil isn’t meant more as a medicine but for those days when my scalp is going through troubled times it can be really helpful to get it feeling right and calmed down again. I love the newer odd square-ish container design that Giovanni makes now for their line of shampoo and conditioners. The square bottles are unique and actually fit better in my shower than regular round ones. The bottles are less prone to falling and it seems like they take up less space, which as we all know is at a premium in the bathroom.

Smells nice!

By

from USA

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

To be honest, this conditioner just wasn't what my hair needed. I loved the smell though: it's a mixture of freshness and coolness. Plus I like the all natural oils in the conditioner. Freshly watching my hair with a shampoo bar, I did my normal pre-prepping for my hair: parting it in four...the usual. Seriously my comb got stuck right at the roots! I couldn't get my comb out. I hurried and washed it out. After I did that, I was left with dry knotty hair. Plus having tight coils it really can get terribly matted sort of feeling like a dry rug. I didn't know what do after that. The product is not even all natural which I don't understand because it said it was. About the first ten ingredients are not even organic. The only time really would recommend this product if you scalp issues (itchy scalps, dandruff) etc and you need relief from them. Or if you like peppermint and tea tree oil.

It takes two..

By

from USA

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

I first tried this conditioner after trying some more expensive brand that had tea tree in it. So I decided to look around and try a few others. That's when I found Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner. This conditioner works great at soothing my irritated scalp! I love the fact that it does not contain any sulfates or animal by products as well. It does a really good job at moisturizing my hair and has a relatively pleasant scent. It smelled a bit minty but it wasn't overpowering so it left a nice subtle scent. It left my scalp feeling a bit tingling and invigorating. It was also reasonably priced and worked better than the more expensive brands of tea tree conditioner. I have straight hair that is dyed blonde, and it worked well with my hair color and my hair texture. I noticed that it even tamed the frizziness a bit. I would highly recommend this conditioner. It also works great for anyone with dandruff.

Lightweight but Works Well For Fine Hair

By

from Podunk, NY

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

I have been using Giovanni Triple Treat Shampoo and Coditioner since it first came out quite a few years ago now. The shampoo is a deep cleaner which leaves the hair and scalp refresahed yet does not create stripped hair. Adding the Triple Treat Conditioner does not weigh hair down or cause it to look greasy. These products have Tea Tree Oil in them as well as other herbs. It is great on fine hair.

Effectiveness
The Triple Treat Shampoo used with this conditioner is the best way to use it. The bottle is a square bottle with a top pump on it if you get a large one, and a flip top if you get the small one. The conditioner is not colored and smells herbal and fresh. I find that using it on fine hair leaves it well conditioned, but not weighed down. My hair does not look greasy or limp when using this conditioner. It is very concentrated, so a little goes a long way. When using this on thicker hair, you need to use more. This conditioner is lightweight and is not going to help really dry hair that needs some moisture. It is more for fine thin hair which needs to have a little conditioning but can not be weighed down.

Scent
I find this scent to be very invigorating. It smells like tea tree oil and herbs mixed. It does not last long and it also is not overwhelming on the hair, so even if you are not crazy about it, it won't be a problem on the hair.

The Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat Conditioner is great

By

from Skokie, IL

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

My wife uses the Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat Conditioner.

The Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat Conditioner was recommended to her by the cosmetics person at Whole Foods. My wife, who has long full hair, had a problem with split ends and was looking for a conditioner that would help without gunking up her hair. Plus, the results of the conditioner last for days.

Effectiveness
Her hair brushes better and there are definitely fewer split ends

Scent
The scent is mild but pleasant.

Giovanni TTTT conditioner is great

By

from Brighton, CO

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

I follow the Curly Girl method, using a cheap conditioner to co-wash my hair and then a deeper conditioner. This is my deeper conditioner. I like the tingling feeling and it does a great job at conditioning my hair.

I got interested in the Curly Girl method because my hair turned wavy after having my son. Once I started using only conditioner and no shampoo, when I use shampoo, it dries my hair out. I also try very hard to not brush my hair (I do comb it with a wide tooth comb in the shower). I have been doing this for a few months now.

I looked at this conditioner (and the shampoo) initially because of the tea tree oil. I have a slight case of dandruff and hate the smells of the other shampoos. One, most only cover shampoos and not conditioners. Two, the blue one smells like urine to me. And three, the coal tar is not fun to get in your eyes. This tea tree oil conditioner is a great alternative. It smells great, and keeps most of my dandruff under control.

an amazing conditioner!

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

Such a fabulous conditioner that I use daily. It softens your hair and makes it smooth. Works very well with the Giovanni tea tree shampoo. It doesn't contain any harsh chemicals and is cruelty free. It has an amazing scent. After using it, your hair feels so soft, naturally! I love this product.

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat is a nice balanced conditioner.

Comments about Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner:

I recieved a sample of Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner.  At first I was concerned because I can't stand the smell of Tea Tree Oil, but this smelled more minty so I tried it anyways.  I have an issue with conditioners making the hair by the roots looking oily, while the bottom is dry and poofy (I have really long hair).  So I was suprised that this product was able to tame the lower part of my hair while keeping the roots from looking like I hadn't showered.  The only downside to this product is the cost, and because of that I'm not sure I'll be purchasing this product often.  With that being said, when I find coupons for this product I'll be sure to buy it again!  I've had a difficult time finding natural products that really work, so I wanted to be sure to let the community know that this product really works well, so those who are afraid to blow their money on another natural product that doesn't cut the mustard know that this product really is a safe bet.
