I tried my first pair of Gingher shears/scissors 14 years ago and have been hooked every since. I have several health issues and was mentioning to a manager at a fabric store how I had to do a project in little steps since the pain of using the shears/scissors was a real issue. I had tried the rotary cutter and that did not help. She asked me what kind of shears/scissors I currently used and I mentioned the Fiskars and the Mundial. She opened a box with the Gingher in them and said " these cost twice as much but with the coupon in our flyer I can let you have them for $17.00; now, try them before you say no to the price."
I tried them; and they cut like butter. I was sold. I bought two pair; one for my cotton fabrics and one for my poly blend fabrics. If you are a seamstress you will know that poly blends dull your shears/scissors faster than cotton. Since then I have watched for sales and have added to my collection. I have every size they make now and I don't have the aggravated pain and ache associated with working with shears/scissors. I have tried their pinking scissors as well and they are great. Before then I wouldn't do the pinking of the edges because of the pain and inability of being able to open and close the shears/scissors.
Ginghers are worth every cent they cost. My only suggestion is to keep them locked up ou of the reach of children and 'HUSBANDS' as they are very sharp. Also, be careful to not drop them; they can leave quite a mark on your floor.
You won't regret purchasing these and will wish you had bought them long before you did.
