Gingher 8 inch Knife Edge Dressmaker's Shears Review

When the good Mrs. Xeno decided to get back into designing and making clothing she took her purchase of the right tools as seriously as any "tool guy" takes his.

When it came to fabric cutting, she went right to Gingher.  Now, why isn't the lovely Veronica writing this review?  Good question.

You see, she recognizes cheap labor when she sees it.  So, one day I was happily writing something or other and the next day I was sitting at a sewing table with a tape measure around my neck and a pair of Ginghers in my hand.  Amazing, I thought.  From tailor to tailor in just three generations!

Seriously, The right tools make all the difference when doing anything.  When it comes to cutting fabric, Gingher Knife Edge Dressmaker's Shears make fast, smooth work of it.

Whether I'm cutting fleece or a fine batik cotton these are the shears I want to be using.  They stay sharp for a good period of time between professional resharpenings.

We now own several different models of Ginghers that we most often buy in the nearby Joann's Fabric's.  Expect to pay between $25-$30 for a pair.

My Viewpoint

Sure, they're pricey, but nothing cuts quite so smoothly as a pair of Ginghers.  I recommend them highly.
