Over the course of the seasons the writers were able to keep the show fresh with twists without cheating on the audience. I, myself, got quite attached to the Gilmore women and their day-to-day issues and problems!
The one downside of the show is the ending. The producers weren't sure if the last season that was produced would be the last. The ending that they wrote was thus left open so new episodes could follow. As a avid fan I found that this ending lacked some closure. I enjoyed the journey the Gilmore Girls have taken me on over the course of the years but I felt a bit cheated in the end.
