Gillette Venus Disposable Razors
I love my regular Venus razor but the replacment blades are expensive so I thought I would try the disposable version. There is a definate quality difference for the blade on the regular Venus and the disposables. Within the first few uses the blade was dull, scratched my skin and the "moisturizing" strip had disappeared. Apparently when Venus says disposable they mean one time use. Even the first use was pretty unimpressive. Gillette Fusion Manual Razor
My initial (cynical) expectation from the Gillette Fusion razor that it was overly hyped new avatar of the Mach 3 razor to allow higher prices and would be very similar to the Mach3. In fact, the only reason I bought it was because there was a CVS pharmacy deal on it, which made it cheaper than all the other branded razors on the market. Gillette Fusion Hydragel Moisturizing Shave Gel with Aloe and Cocoa Butter
We received a 2.5 ounce (7.1g) size Gillette Fusion Hydragel, in a bag of goodies, when we were staying at a hotel. Even though it is a product for a man, I tried it and liked it so much, that I kept it for myself.
It comes in an orange/gold shiny looking can with a press down top.
I shave my legs every 2 to 3 days and this is such a handy size to use.
All I do is wet the areas I want to shave and then spray some of the light blue gel onto the area. I then spread it over the area, and get a great lather.

Ok so I might be a little different then most guys because I shave in the shower and don't use any gel or shaving cream. However I still like a smooth shave that doesn't hurt. I have found tha the Mach 3 works really well for me because it has a small strip in front of the blades that apply some gel or something before the hair is cut. The problem is that this strip doesn't last too long. I have a fairly thick beard so I have to shave every day and I'd say these razors last about a week before that strip starts to fade out. First off let me say that I am a woman. I have used countless different razors and shavers for years and I started using these Gillette razors when I found that the ones made for women do not work for me. I will never go back to using razors that are developed for women because the Gillette razors work wonders for me.
