Gillette Venus Razor For Women Review

I have used so many disposable razors in my lifetime that I could not even begin to list them all.  Most were so harsh that they left nicks and cuts all over my legs.  Others left razor burns and bumps.  I also have tried electric razors and was let down by their performance as well.  I finally found the Gillette Venus Razor system for $8.99. I have not used anything else since.

The Razor

The Gillette Venus Razor system comes with 1 Venus Razor, 2 Cartridges and 1 Shower Storage System.  The razor itself contains three blades surrounded by soft protective cushions to give you a close, smooth shave.   There is an indicator strip with Aloe and Vitamin E. The blue strip fades away when it is time to replace the cartridge.  After the initial cartridges are used up, refills can be purchased at any grocery or drugstore in 4, 8, or 12 packs.  Prices vary depending on size purchased.   The handle of the razor has a soft rubbery piece on the inner side, making the razor comfortable to hold.

The shower storage compartment attaches to the shower wall with double sided tape and when the door is popped open, there is room for four replacement cartridges. 

My Experience

I absolutely love this razor.  It is by far the best razor that I have tried.  It makes my legs so smooth and silky feeling.  It normally just takes one stroke of the razor to achieve a smooth shave.  I very rarely get razor cuts, burns or bumps and the cartridges last for many uses.  When I do need to replace the cartridge, I simply push a lever up on the back of the razor and the cartridge pops off easily.  I then reach into my handy storage compartment and take a replacement cartridge out and pop it right on to the top of the razor until I hear a little snap.  The storage compartment not only holds the refills, it holds the razor as well.  I just snap it on to the front cover when I am done and forget about it until next time.

Due to the effectiveness, quality and the fact that it brings out the Goddess in me ;), I give this product a well deserved 5 star rating.
