Having sensitive skin takes a good shaving system in order to have a close but comfortable shave. That means not only must your razor not cause any irritation, but your shaving cream/gel as well. Gillette Series Gel for Sensitive Skin has accomplished this with a great smelling gel that contains aloe.

Using it

Gillette Series Shaving Gel comes in the normal push button can to dispense the gel for use. It contains Aloe and leaves the skin smooth and free of razor burn. Only a small amount is needed to produce a nice rich lather for your razor to glide over, leaving razor burn behind. I only use a small dab in my palm and work it into a lather before putting it on. It comes out a light iridescent blue color and smells pretty good. I buy the 7oz can and it lasts me a good long time, this can I am on now is almost 2 months old. It should last me another week before I need to buy another can.

I have had problems in the past with cans having a lot left in them and running out of propellant. So on my friends advice I started letting it float in very warm water for a few minutes before I use it. That helps the gasses expand some and has stopped that problem from happening again. Since I soak in a hot bath daily I just grab the can and let it float in the tub with me, then when I want to shave it is ready to use.

I am not saying you have to warm it up, I just do it in order to fix a problem I have had from time to time. I figure the more product I get out of the can to use, the less it costs me to use that product. After all it is about saving money in the long run!

Bottom Line

If you have sensitive skin then Gillette Series for Sensitive skin can help you overcome the problem of irritation resulting in razor burn. Your next shave can be smooth without making your face sore and wishing you just let your beard grow out. I feel it is a good buy for the money and will use it again. Shaving Cream/Gel has come a long way over the years and Gillette has stayed up with the pace of producing a product that truly is for Sensitive Skin!
