I had a coupon for Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel for Women so I decided to get a good deal and give it a try. It definitely lubricated well enough to aid in shaving. I really don't care for the texture and consistency of this shave gel. It is a little less dense and more slippy than other shave gels I have tried. This makes it harder to get where you want it. Half the time this slids out of my hand and down the drain before I can get it on my leg. Effectiveness Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel for Women is an average shave gel. It does have very moisturizing ingredients which left my legs soft and smooth. It definitely provides lubrication so a razor just glides over skin. It did a good job of preventing little nicks and cuts I get without using a shave gel. It is for sensitive skin which is good because other shave gels I've tried had irritated my skin. This does not. Scent This smells really light and fresh. It has a nice scent.

I have very sensitive skin and suffer from eczema pretty much all over the place. So shaving has always been painful for me and I feel like I am shaving of a layer of my already irritated skin. I purchased the Gillette Satin Care Gel and will not go back to anything else. As soon as I push the top for it come out I am so excited to watch the Gel turn into a cream. With other products once it is on the skin it would sting but this gel it feels cool to my leg and gives a little relief. Even after you have shaved it still feels a relief to your skin especially if you suffer from a skin disorder as I do. Effectiveness I only have to shave about once a month! It helps soothe skin disorders such as eczema that can be normally painful with other products! Scent I don't like a strong scent on bathroom products so I don't have to try and layer scents properly and this gel doesn't have a strong scent so I love it.

So I decided to give Gillette Skin Care Shave Gel For Women a try. There are many different variations of this shave gel available and I've tried several. But by far, the best is the Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel for Women with Olay. I absolutely love how smooth it is and it smells great. I love using it every day. It makes the shaving experience more pleasant. Effectiveness Application is easy and it really helps me get a smooth shave. And I shave daily and it doesn't irritate my skin Scent I love the smell of this Gillette Skin Care Shave Gel for Women with Olay. It's a feminine smell, womanly. Its not an overwhelming fruity or flowery scent like most other products available. I get tired of those smells quickly, but this Shave Gel smells wonderful and I actually look forward to using it daily.

I'm not sure which I prefer best - this one or Skintimate's version of the same sort of cream - but I do like that this one seems to go a step further with both the satiny feeling left on one's legs and the sensitivities a lot of people experience with shaving. I recommended this right away to both of my sisters, who lived in Florida at the time, and needed to shave every day. Effectiveness Highly smoothing and definitely pleasing to work with. It sprays on easily and helps me shave smoothly all the way up. I really liked the extra care Gillette put into this one, as it seems to make for a smoother experience (really good for first time shavers who are a little rougher on razors than people who have been shaving longer, because it smooths the skin and helps to avoid some of the nicking and scraping). Scent It didn't have much of a scent to my opinion, which is good - I'm a scent-a-holic, mostly, but when it comes to shaving around my bikini area and further inwards, I'm a no-scenter all the way. I much prefer not having an allergic reaction down south, if you know what I mean, and this product delivers that.

Gillette Satin Care is a wonderful shaving gel for women with sensitive skin. It protects the skin from the brutality of the razor blade, preventing the much unwanted nicks, and at the same time it moisturizes the skin. With sensitive skin, many products out there can produce unwanted effects when placed on your skin, and with this product, my sensitive skin was taken care of and protected. Effectiveness This product worked well. It went on easily and gave the right amount of protection, which is the primary purpose of any shaving gel, and at the same time kept my skin unaffected from any harsh chemicals and left them feeling smooth and moisturized. Scent I extremely enjoyed the scent of this product. It was not overwhelming, but gave off a pleasant aroma that I believe any woman would enjoy. Scent is very important to me, and this product, definitely, is one that I will use again.

I like shave gels that become a foam once they are dispensed. I feel that these creams allow you to get a close shave and help to protect your skin from cuts. The main reason I did not give the product a rating of 5 is because the bottom of the canister often rusts before I finish using it. I have solved this problem by turning it upside down in the shower. Effectiveness Once the gel is dispensed, it becomes a thick shaving cream. A small quarter shaped squirt of the gel is normally enough to shave one leg. Scent The scent is just enough to keep your legs smelling fresh. It is not so strong that it overpowers the other products I am using, like body wash or shampoo.

  Shaving is a routine that is unlikely to ever come to an end. For men, even when we get old, we are still likely to shave because even though the hair on our heads may be gone, the hairs on the face continue to grow and thrive. I have to shave every day in order to keep my skin smooth and I have my favorite shaving gels and foams, but sometimes I run out and I am forced to use some of the wife's shaving aids. This is how I got to know **Satin Care Sensitive Skin Formula**, a shaving gel from Gillette. **Shaving** **Commentary:** I have a few favorite brands of shaving gel but when I ran out recently, I was forced to borrow some from the wife. I was skeptical but I decided that shaving gels are generally all the same and gave this product a chance. Even after giving it a fair shake, however, I cannot say that this gel is every bit as good as my usual shaving gel products. First, Satin Care is a little sloppier than the other gels, and a little slimier- like hair gel. When the gel is released from the container, Satin Care looks a little different. It isn't as clear or as tightly packed as my favorite brands. Instead, the gel has a cloudy color and it quickly begins to turn to white foam, even without rubbing it on the skin first. Because of these initial qualities, Satin Care doesn't hold tightly against the skin like other gels. The foam is a little looser on the face and thus it doesn't seem like it contributes as well to a close shave as I would prefer. I can still get the results I want by scraping the razor over my face again and again, but I don't have to do this as much with other gels. On the positive side, however, this gel is good for its lubricating qualities (from the added aloe and Vitamin E) and it also offers a pleasant smell. This latter quality took my by surprise because I assumed this product would offer a very feminine scent, like many other shaving gels for women often do. But the scent is actually gender- neutral. In fact, if it wasn't labeled as "for women", I never would have guessed it was made with the ladies in mind. **Bottom Line Viewpoint:** Overall, Gillette Satin Care is a decent product from the people at Gillette. It has some qualities I don't prefer, but it does smell fairly nice and it does lubricate the skin appropriately to prepare it for shaving. I will likely be scraping blades across my face for many decades to come, so borrowing some feminine shaving gel every now and then is inevitable. And Gillette Satin Care for Sensitive Skin is an acceptable shaving product when the need to shave arises and there is no other gel in the house.

When I decided to purchase Gillette's Satin Care for Sensitive Skin shaving gel for women I was really wanting to find a shaving gel that truly lived up to the 'for sensitive skin' title it was given. I have extremely sensitive skin on my legs and extra coarse hair, therefore I had used quite a few different shaving creams and gels out there on the market. Once I began using Gillette's Satin Care Shave Gel for Sensitive Skin, I found that I did get a pretty good shave. I wasn't completely satisfied but was slightly impressed. I like the fact that this shaving gel has a nice scent to it, it is moisturizing to sensitive skin and it doesn't over dry, leaving your legs uncomfortable and 'ashy'. A few things that did bother me when using this product are as follows. I felt that the shaving gel ran way too quickly off my legs if I happened to get just a little bit of extra water on my legs while trying to lather up. I also felt that the can of gel ran out way too quickly and the can was made to where it is too easy to quirt out 'too much' gel. The shaving gel is priced decently does a pretty good job however. I would recommend this to an individual with sensitive skin that doesn't have a large amount of money for shaving expenses in their budget.

Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel for women, sensitive skin is the only shave gel I have used for the past six months. I have tried other gels, and this has proven to be the best for my sensitive skin. I haven't had shaving rash since I started using it, which is a huge plus for me. It also smells okay for a shave gel. I don't think its the best smell, but its not overpowering and it doesn't create a huge odor in my bathroom. It lathers really well, so you don't have to use much at all. I like that one bottle goes a long way, because I feel I am getting more value for my money. It also creates a foam on your legs so you know exactly where you have shaved and where you haven't. It goes on as a creamy layer so it doesn't move until you shave it off. I love this because its thick enough to get the job done, but to me, it doesn't leave any residue after you shave it off. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Its great for the price and is good quality!

For years, I had been using the same brand of shave gel and always experienced skin irritation after shaving, even when trying their sensitive skin variety and I just assumed that it was a reaction my skin had to shaving (since I've never had 'sensitive skin' in any other way) and there was nothing that could be done. That was until I saw Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Skin on sale one day and decided to give it a shot. It did what years of switching razors, trying different lotions, and random varieties of my old shave gel couldn't - give me a smooth shave without following up with bothersome skin irritation. The very first time I used it, no razor burn, no hives (yes, I got hives on occasion after shaving previously), just a great shave.  I couldn't be more happy with Gillette Satin Care for Sensitive Skin and would recommend it to anyone that has issues with razor burn or any other skin irritation after shaving.
