I am reviewing the Gillette Fusion Power Razor. I have read other reviews and I've seen the commercials and I must say, I do't get the hype. My face is just as tough a shave as the next guy and I have gotten a very close shave with 2 blades, then three blades, and then four blades. I tried the five bladed Gillette Fusion and I honestly got the exact shave as I did with the three and four bladed razors. I dare anyone to shave half their face with a Gillette five bladed Fusion and the other half with a three bladed Gillette or any other brand name razor and honestly say they can tell the difference. I made the comparison and I couldn't tell. My shave was just as smooth and just as close as before. I feel that this razor is just a rip off. A further rip off is the price they charge for refills. Gillette has a powered version of this razor that runs off one AAA battery and one that is not powered. The refills for the powered version cost $2.00 more than the non-powered version. I bet few people know that the cheaper non-powered version fits in the powered razor. Both blades are the same but Gillette charges more for one than the other. Is this just another example of the rip off of the American consumer. My advise to consumers who read this review is to save your money. Throw away your expensive Gillette Fusion before you are tempted to buy refills to justify having the razor in your medicine chest. Just throw it away and break out your trusty three bladed razor and buy your $5.00 refills instead of $12 to $14 for five blades that doesn't work any better than three. Oh by the way did I mention that the five blades need replacing sooner than the three blades.
