Direct from Bozeman Montana comes one of Gibson's best (and lowest priced) acoustic guitars; that is low priced, for a Gibson. Don't walk into your local guitar shop with less than $2000 in your pocket. Granted, I've already posted a review on my Epiphone DR-500M that I LOVE...but, if you're out for that genuine "Made in America" guitar, check this one out.
This is an acoustic/electric with L.R. Baggs transducer. Solid Spruce top, solid Rosewood back & sides. (Rosewood produces richer bass than any other wood I know of.) The Mother of pearl split parallelogram fretboard looks really KEWL. This guitar reminds me of the Sheryl Crow model, but sounds BETTER because of the rosewood back & sides. The Sheryl Crow model probably costs more due to her name on it.
Like most guitars in this price range, a hardshell case is included. It better be for $2000. I don't own one of these, but have played one at length at my local Guitar Center. Hey...it doesn't cost anything to try one out.
Now as to why this cost $2000 vs. a $200 one. Number one...all solid wood. Two, hand crafted in the USA. Three, the name alone. Kind of like buying a Cadillac vs. a Chevy. Sure, the Chevy may last just as long, but it won't turn many heads.
