Pros

Wonderfully Awesome Special Effects, The two Ghost Riders together, Cage's character not quitter

I don't know what my expectations were....I was sure that there would be awesome special effects, and there were. But I didn't expect to identify as well with Nicholas Cage character, and I simply adored the understated elegance of casting Peter Fonda as they did. And I wonder how many folks even remember Sam Elliot from his heydey in the 70's as a pin up boy...but it all worked together well. I enjoyed the movie-felt good about good triumphing over evil and all that, thought the acting was decent, but on a totally different level my 7 year old loved the action-the cartoon hero aspects of it, the special effects, being alternately scared and then happy when the good guys came out on top. It was a much better family viewing experience than I expected it to be. It wasn't over the top macho stuff either. And it didn't portray Cage's character as a no mind who was nothing more than a motorcycle junkie. Not following all the classic comic strip heroes was probably a help, because I wasn't disappointed by the images that I racked up reading the stories for years....I had a good time and don't regret going-and with the cost of movies, that is pretty high praise
