Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Hot Chocolate is so delicious. I normally drink Swiss Miss, but I decided to splurge and reward myself with Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Hot Chocolate. It is expensive but it also tastes expensive! It has a very rich and decadent chocolate flavor-you can tell that it is made with real chocolate. It has a smooth and creamy texture. This hot chocolate tastes so amazing. I wish it was cheaper-you are getting what you pay for, but for us on a tight-budget, that means we only get to enjoy this rich and rewarding treat on special occasions.

as a hot chocolate lover, i had to review this. It tastes great and is exactly what i want in a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. It can be a little more expensive than swiss miss, or nestle, but in my opinion it is worth it. It has a great chocolate taste and its just amazing. I drink it almost everyday!

A really nice church member gave my husband & I both christmas coffee mugs with Ghirardelli- Double Chocolate and more foil wrapped chocolates, oh my gosh is this Hot chocolate ever good, rich creamy and delectable. You cannot get enough of this. It is even better in your coffee as well I found that out. SO GOOD.

I got this Ghirardelli - Double Chocolate Hot chocolate in four packs as the winter drink. I enjoy hot chocolate when the weather is cold. Besides the chocolate keeps body warm from inside naturally. It has some calories but I do feel like we need some extra calories when it's cold.  I like the richness of the chocolate in this product. I normally microwave organic whole milk and then mix hot chocolate mix. This product mixes easily. It is not very sweet ( I guess that depends on how much you add to your drink).  I guess the four pack was the value pack, so for the price I purchase I think it is a very good product. I would definitely buy more once I run of the ones I got.  I have tried other brand hot chocolates that comes in small paper packets and I have to say this one is really rich and dark chocolaty flavor. For a little boost of energy, I sometimes add a little honey on top of the hot chocolate.

I bought this hot cocoa for about 14.xx for a 4 pack of 12oz cans...a little spendy I thought but boy when I tasted this hot chocolate it definatley teased my tastebuds, in my opinion it was very very very rich, just how I like my chocolate.  My husband was not a huge fan for this fact only but he was brought up on Nestle and there is NO comparison.  They do say you should use milk with this and I agree, without the milk it doesn't get that creamy wonderful flavor and texture.  I would reccomend buying a single can and tasting it first to make sure you can handle the chocolatness!! But if you are a chocoholic, you will love it!

I was so hoping that this would be a great hot chocolate, but unfortunately it was only average at best, the **Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Hot chocolate** was disappointing.  Especially when compared to their Drinking chocolate that Ghiradelli makes.  I was hoping because of the excess cost of the Drinking Chocolate by Ghiradelli that this would take its place.  That is a definite no. If you just want plain drinking cocoa, buy the cheap stuff at the store, I did a little taste test at home and could not tell the difference.  This product is basically just a powder that you mix with water or milk depending on your preference.  It does not even have mini marshmallows like some of the ones at the grocery store have. Being a hot chocolate lover, I love real chocolate taste, marshmallows, marshmallow creme, whipped creme and on top I like to sprinkle it with a little crushed peppermint and mini chocolate pieces. That is a true cup of hot chocolate.

My family loves this brand of cocoa mix.  I even give it away for stocking stuffers or in gift baskets.  It is rich tasting and dissolves nicely.  It is easy in the microwave or on the stovetop.  A hit at my house.  We used to use a less pricey cocoa mix but it just didn't compare anymore after we tried Ghirardelli.  Happily, a great friend gave us our first container or we might never have tried it due to it being a little pricey.  Also I have found that many grocery stores don't carry this brand but if I ask the manager about it, a lot of times they will order it for me.  I usually make it  the cocoa with only 2 tablespoons of mix instead of the four that is recommended and we find that to be plenty "chocolatey and sweet" and of course makes the contents of the container last twice as long.  this is a mix to be used with milk, not water so there again that makes this brand a little more pricey.  But we think it is worth it!

Ah yes, good old Wisconsin, a winter storm and two neighbors stuck in the parking lot. Well no one got out and I found out my truck is stuck in ice and snow too. After dealing with all that and not getting anywhere, being cold and wet it was time for a nice hot cup of**  Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Hot chocolate** and the timing couldn't be more perfect. This is a hot chocolate you use real milk with and not water to get a very rich creamy drink.  Directions for stove top: Pour 8 oz. milk into a small pan. Add 3 tablespoons **Ghirardelli Double Hot Chocolate** and stir till hot. They also have microwave directions, but that isn't as relaxing, fun or tasty. Kick back with a nice bowl of popcorn, a movie and a nice hot steamy cup of hot chocolate and relax. I just finished my cup and I am ready for night-night now. This is the best hot chocolate I have ever tried and I have tried many. You can find Ghirardelli Hot chocolate in with the other hot chocolates and if you store doesn't have it, do what I did, ask for them to get it and you will never drink another.
