This is a review of the 12 cup Gevalia coffee maker that can be set to automatically turn on. It has a clock on the front and the timing is easily configured. It stays on for about 30 minutes after it has completing the drip process. After that time it no longer keeps the coffee warm. The water holder is clear so you can see how much you've put in. It makes a decent pot, that is not the problem. The issue is when and if you need to add more water you must lift the top and that is also the same top that the hot water comes out of that drips into the grind container. So if you try to add water while the coffee is being made you will surely be sprayed with hot water. It is also a rather large object so when it sits on you counter it does take up a lot of room. There was a model I owned some years back which allowed water to be added without the issue of enountering any safety issues and i wish i had that one back but it stopped functioning after about 3 years of use.
