Gevalia Seasonal Flavors Review

I recently rejoined the Gevalia coffee program just in time for the exciting new fall flavors.  In addition to my free stainless steel coffee pot, thermal carafe, and travel mug, I received 2 half pounds of Pecan Torte coffee...all for only $14.95.  It is an amazing deal! 

The first morning I used the Pecan Torte coffee I was hooked.  There is just nothing better then waking up to the smell and taste of really good coffee.  It is made from 100% Arabica beans and tastes like pecans and caramel.  Yummy!  It made my kitchen smell really good for the rest of the morning.  Although I now live in perpetual summer, the Pecan Torte coffee made me feel like it was fall. Gevalia sells Pecan Torte in regular ($7.45 per half lb box) or decaf ($8.25 per half lb box). 

The only thing that I do not like about this coffee -- and all of Gevalia's flavored varieties -- is that you can only buy it pre-ground.  I prefer to grind my own beans because that way the coffee tastes fresher.  However, this one hang-up is not enough to prevent me from ordering Gevalia's flavored coffees in the future.

Gevalia has one more seasonal fall coffee: pumpkin spice.  I did not personally buy any of this flavor because I do not usually like pumpkin-flavored foods and beverages.  However, I tried it at a friend's house and it smelled wonderful!  I didn't care for the taste, but the smell captured everything that is traditionally fall.  I briefly considered buying some Pumpkin Spice coffee just to smell it, but decided to just go buy a candle instead.  Pumpkin spice is also available in regular and decaf.

Right now, Gevalia is offering an additional bonus program.  For every 3 boxes of coffee you purchase from their menu, you'll receive a signature crown gift box, which appears to contain 3 samples of their other coffees (including breakfast blend).  I have not ordered more coffee yet, so I don't know exactly what is in there, but who doesn't love free coffee?
