Here's another company which has been around for a while -- Gevalia Kaffe was established by Victor Theodor Engwall in 1853. His company has been cranking out some of the best coffee ever since for 155 years. A few years ago, I earned MyPoints for joining the Gevalia Monthly Membership Plan which netted me a nice coffee maker (free) and periodic shipments of eight ounces each of my two chosen flavors: Colombia and Cinnamon. This coffee has never been a disappointment -- however, since I live alone and don't usually drink more than an occasional cup of Folger's Instant now and then, I finally cut back my Gevalia shipments to what I really only needed for the occasional treat of making a whole pot of this delicious brew. I must also add that this coffee (and other Gevalia products) are a tad expensive -- frankly, $37 is more than I would usually spend for a 16 ounces of coffee but it is a fine luxury now and then. The coffee grounds are vacuum packed in resealable foil bags to preserve their freshness and so flavorful that a little goes a long way.
Gevalia Kaffe carrys a wonderful selection of gourmet and gift merchandise, including their own version of the Gift of the Month Plan -- Classic Coffee Gift of the Month, including monthly gifts of Gevalia ground coffee accompanied by "a gourmet treat or a coffee accoutrement." Selections include:
November -- The Right Mix
