Unlike most people who probably joined the Gevalia Coffee Club to get their coffee maker, I got mine as a gift from someone (who probably had joined the club themselves). It has served me very well over the past five years. It did come with two coffee tumblers, but I have been able to use all sorts of different types of cups in this coffee maker, from tumblers to just plain old coffee mugs. PRO: Programmable! I love this feature. I can set the machine at night, and wake up to the smell of fresh coffee in the morning. PRO: One or two cup selection! CON: The "beeper" that lets you know your coffee is done stopped working after the first year or so of use. Not a really big deal, but still not something I am overly happy about. CON: Can not find a "cone filter" to fit it properly. This is a big one! The commercial #2 cones tend to be a little too big, and sometimes fold in on themselves unless you fit them in JUST SO, and the #1 cones are a bit too small, and can sometimes allow grounds to get into your coffee cup. I'm assuming that if you order filters fright from Gevalia, they will be the perfect size, which means that they made it that way purposely so that you have to buy their products. All in all, though, this is a great coffee maker that I could recomment to anyone.

I purchased this coffee maker as we only have one coffee drinker in our family and don't need to make an entire pot... It is great for individuals, but we have had a couple of parties where dessert was served and it was a bit complicated trying to make coffee for several people out of the one small pot. This is a great coffeemaker, but the markings that indicate whether you are making one or two cups wore off very quickly and sometimes we have had bad results when only enough coffee was put in for one cup, but the switch was set for two, or vice versa. This pot is very simple to use and easy to clean. I do not like how it beeps when the coffee is done though because it is very loud and sometimes wakes up my baby!

This two-cup coffeemaker is perfect for people who don't drink that much coffee every day. If you drink more than a couple of cups a day or more than one person uses the machine, this is not for you. But for me...I think it's terrific!

This coffee maker is convenient for people who take their coffee with them out of the house.  I received it as a gift, and since I only drink coffee at home, it is less than ideal.  However, it is an excellent quality machine and brews marvelously.  If you brew coffee in small quantities or take your coffee with you, this is for you.

I got this coffee maker for free when I signed up with Gevalia online years ago. I still use this coffee maker in the mornings to make my husband and I coffee to go. It works great and is really easy to use. I can fit other travel mugs that I have bought just fine as well. The water gets hot and brews the coffee wonderfully. I use it in the winter to make hot chocolate for my kids as well. I haven't had any spills with this coffee maker. It's not really a coffee maker for when you have company over. But, for the mornings when your on the go it helps out a lot. I always have it ready to go at night and my husband just has to push the button in the morning. I highly recommend this coffee maker and the coffee from Gevalia as well.

The Gevalia 2-Cup Basic Coffee for Two Coffeemaker 85188 was my first coffee maker when I went to college. The cool thing about it was that you would have your coffee ready to go in the morning because it would be brewed directly into your coffee travel mug. The bad thing about it is that you have to learn tricks on how to use it to suit your current needs. There is an option on the coffee maker to make one cup or two. Unfortunately, there were a lot of messy spills because I would forget to change the option, or a friend who was doing it didn't know they had to change it. Another problem is that it will not make a pot of coffee for more than two people, or a small cup of coffee, since it is made to only pour into the two travel mugs. I would sometimes let it brew into the travel mug and pour it into smaller mugs or even put a smaller mug in the place of the travel mug and brew less coffee. This would also create spills. I would have really liked the option to stop the coffee maker mid-brew. Finally, I lost one of the travel mugs and got a new coffee pot that actually brewed into a multi-cup pot. I am recommending this product, but it depends on the situation. If you ALWAYS drink coffee in travel mugs and want to get ready quickly in the morning, I would recommend this. However, if you want other options like using different cups or brewing for more people, I would not recommend it.

I received the Gevalia 2 cup coffee pot as a hand-me-down from my mom a couple of months ago. Before this, the smallest coffee pot I had made at least four cups. My boyfriend and I are very busy and are always rushing out the door in the morning. It is very convinient for us to just make as much coffee as needed instead of wasting a whole pot. The good thing about this pot is that there is no clean up. If you are on the go you can just brew it right into your travel mug. There is also an option whether you want to brew one cup or two. It is an investment that saves money in the long run with all the coffee that is saved. It also brews very fast. It has the ability to be programmed as well. I like the sleek design if this product. I keep it right out on my kitchen table. I would recommend it for a couple or single person who is always on the go as I am. it is a very great product and I thoroughly enjoy it.

The Gevalia Coffee for Two Coffee Maker is a great product. I've enjoyed using it and usally will make a cup before I go out to make my morning errands. Its saves me money. It also, keeps me from wasting a fresh pot of coffee since I'm out and can't refill my cup. It's a little hard to measure how much coffee to put it but with practice I've noticed that I've gotten better. I think it's fairly easily to clean. I always order the Gevalia coffee from their company and I always get good deals by referring people and ordering from them. I think that even if I wouldn't have gotten a good deal on this, I'd still buy it. It's come in handy more times than I thought it would. It's perfect for me and my husband. We love it!

I was so in love with my mother inlaw' s coffee maker. I just talked about how nice it was every since I saw it. So my mom brought me one about eight months ago. I really loved it. Had no problems. The coffee was great and one morning I got up to make my coffee and it  would not work. It hadnt even been a complete year it just stopped working. No warning sign, nothing. I cant believe it. I dont think it was cheap. I dare not by another. It would probaly do the same. I am just so upset. I camt beleve it.

***This is a great coffee maker for people on-the-go. I think it's perfect for people like me who don't drink coffee that much, but drink it enough that we don't want to waste coffee by making a whole pot. You can customize it by using either the one cup option or the two cup option. The only problem I have with this coffee maker is that it doesn't help you measure out how much coffee you need, so you have to use the practice-til-you-get-it-right technique to master the perfect cup of coffee. Otherwise, it's a great product.*** ***I'm currently a member of the club, so I got this product free after referring my mom. I don't know the current price of it, but I'm pretty sure it's worth the mooney, and if it is too expensive, you can find it elswhere on the Internet cheaper. Any way it goes, if you don't want to be chained to the idea of making a whole pot of coffee just to drink one cup, you should definitely get one of these!***
