Gerber Nuk Transition Cup Review Summary

Many of our reviewers recommend the Gerber Nuk Transition Cup that “makes an easy transition from bottle to cup.” This makes transition from bottle to cup especially easy if you are already using Gerber Baby Bottles. One mom stated that “it only took me one night to wean him off that bottle with this cup.” Gerber makes their Nuk Transition Cup with easy to hold handles and the top fits Gerber Bottles too. As for being leak-proof, the Gerber Sippy Cup, one reviewer stated that “it is a no-leak cup as long as the stopper is still effective.” Unfortunately, the stopper has been reported to fall out if thrown or dropped on the floor which happens often with toddlers. Find out what parents are saying about other sippy cups and maybe you can find one that is really leak-proof!

wow, what a cup. With the soft latex sippy top its heavy duty but great for the youngest baby. My breastfed daughter didn't like bottles so I tried this to introduce her to a sippy cup. She took to it very well and wont drink from any other sippy. She loves to hold the cup by the handles.

I haven't had...

After reading so many glowing reviews of the Gerber Nuk transition cup, I decided I would give this one a go, even if it meant spending a hefty (approximately) $7 for a 2-pack. The pack, as I remember it, had two 7-ounce cups, two lids with removable valves, and one set of handles. Even though the price...

I don't really care much for this trainer cup. The spout is soft but it is far to angular for a trainer cup. Gerber has a nuk training cup that has a soft spout and is far less angular but that one is really to much like a bottle to be consider a true trainer cup.  This one looks too much like a bottle also to be honest. The removable handles are nice but that's really about it.

I recommend the gerber sips n smiles soft spout training cup. It is the perfect first sippie cup. It is even angled so that your little one doesn't have to tip it up as much

I love this cup, I tried the Nuby version first but it leaked everywhere after only 3 weeks. This cup is LEAK-PROOF and comes in cute colors! Although it was a bit pricey but after getting the Nubys I decided to go with the "you get what you pay for approach".

I decided to try to break my son from the bottle when he was 10 months old.  I had tried 2 other cups when I came across the Gerber Nuk orthodontic cup.  As soon as I gave it to my son he started drinking.  I waited a whole day to put away the bottles.  He never cried or threw a fit.  Everytime it was time for a bottle I gave him the Nuk cup with no problems.  These cups are a little more expensive than most of the other cups but well worth it!  I passed on my experience to a couple of my friends and they have had the same success!  I hope you do too.

I love this cup.  I have tried many different sippy cups, and this one is great.  It doesn't leak or drip.  The only time liquid comes out is when my son draws on the coffee table with it, but that can be corrected.  I recommend this cup.  Good deal is to buy the 2 pack.  Then it's only $3 each.  Great bargain.

Gerber Nuk Transition Cup

After wasting my money on several brands and having the usual leaking or chocking problem, I found this cup and it is by far the best out there. I believe it's a German design. I started using it after I stopped breast feeding at 11 months. I bought a second one after a couple of months because my daughter, now 17 months, would'nt and still won't drink her milk if it is not with this cup. I put her to bed with milk/water and it has never leaked. My only complaint is that it only comes on the 5-6oz size and I wish there was a bigger size and replacement spouts. I loved...

The Gerber Nuk Transition Cup was the first sippy cup that I purchased for my baby. I thought it looked like the perfect transition from the bottle to a regular sippy cup, with the latex sip-spout and the detachable grip handles.

My daughter would not touch it!  I tried several different liquids to see if it was a flavor preference. I tried several times as she grew and transitioned to the sippy cup to see if it was just a need to rebel in order to keep the bottle. To be prefectly honest, I think the latex sip-spout pinched her tongue and lips and too much fluid was coming out for her to keep...

I love this cup--my mother-in-law stumbled upon it after we (everyone in the family) went on a mission to find a cup that my daughter whould use...well we found it! THIS IS IT!!! In one day, she refused to use her bottle--it's a blessing!!! She wont use anything else--but there is a problem--I can't find anymore...where can I find more? I keep checking the Wallgreens where my mother-in-law found this one--but apparently they don't carry it anymore. I just need a couple of extras---please tell me if you know where I can find more of these cups. Everybody keeps saying they bought 2 for $6--thats...

My baby was having a hard time letting go of his bottle.  Finding the right transition cup was a huge task!  He loved the feel of his Gerber bottle.  When I found the transition cup with the same feel, I new I had to try it.  It took me one night to wing him off that bottle with this cup.  Reasonably priced around $6.00 for two cups and well worth it.  I would have paid more!  The only bad thing is that he likes to chew on the soft spout and eventually they split.  Still it is a no-leak cup as long as the stopper is still effective.

I loved these cups and bottles and so did my son.  The Gerber Transitions cups and bottles are the best!  I was so upset when I went to buy some for this little one and they have been discontinued due to BPA. My son did so well with these, he even weaned himself off the bottle himself.  I love the handles and the non-standard shape that make it easier for gripping.  The spout is soft, but when chewed on does not fall to pieces.  I wish Gerber would re-release these as BPA free.

This bottle is great! The shape of the bottle itself is easy for baby to hold. The handles and the sippy-type "nipple" provide an excellent transition to cups. My youngest used this from about 7-10 months of age and took to it immediately (no issues with transition from regular nipples to this type of spout). I wouldn't recommend it for infants due to the spout, but a great plus is that the "collar" fits Gerber's infant bottles too!

My daughter will use no other learner "sippy" cup! I don't mind since I can rely on this product to be durable and leek proof as well as easy to clean. At one time we were down to only one, so easy to clean was important. This is part of the NUK orthodontic series for proper palette and mouth shaping. The sealing disk helps for leak-proof transport but isn't a necessity.

I think the Gerber Nuk Transition Cup is a really good cup for babies. It is soft, so it is easy for the babies to suck from it. This was one of the first of many cups I bought for my daughter. I have found it to be the most useful and easy to use. This product is also a lot easier to clean than the cups with the hard part because it is flexable.
